Looking at changing the rims on my wifes YRX Hatch. The car is black so i was thinking black rims with chrome lip.

Not sure if we should go 16" or 17" as i plan on sitting the car low on coilovers if available.

Please share any problems associated with 17"s on a Yaris if any.

If anyone has any suggestions on rims, please post up....price not an issue but within reason....preferably Jap brands, not copies. :spiteful:

Depending on the wheel, some 17's might be too heavy. 16's would be lighter, hence better performance as there's less load on your engine. Some say 16's are the sweet spot for the tiny Yaris, however 17's do look better!

But since you said you're after JDM wheels, pretty much all JDM wheels are lightweight, so it shouldn't be an issue..

Just so you know, my 16" Work Emotions weigh in at 5.5KG each. =)

I had my White YRS a 17" Advanti Medusa mags

i am quite happy with the combination, gloss black with polished silver.

They are cheap as well, brand new cost me $1.2k with new rubbers. It would be cheaper if you can find something on eBay as well.

This is the pic of it, just give you a knowledge how it looks. Standard suspentions.
