Hey guys,

New to the Toyota scene, just bought myself a 91 Celica SX and I wanna remove the FOR SALE sign that's written in liquid paper on my window. How do you go about doing that? I've tried sponge and water and it's completely ineffective. I don't want to use a razor blade because I got a feeling I'll scratch the window.

HELP!

Thanks in advance.

Nothing wrong with using a blade. Works a treat.

I though the dealer should take them off before give to you...well, try all the above method and you should be fine.

You can buy really thin razors, i took a sticker off my car that was pretty much glued on with one. Worked great with no scratches

Yeah man, use some window cleaner and a razor. Thats how we did it when I was detailing.

Alright then, I'll try the razor but I don't exactly have a steady hand lol

Just keep the blade as flat as possible against the glass with even pressure and you will be fine. Hard to do damage unless you slip and hit the paint.

I second this. As flat to the glass as possible and dont put your other hand in the way.

Also, a new unused razor will give you the best result becasue it wouldnt have any defects that could scratch the glass.

O'Brians do this all the time to windows that they fix using resin.

Make sure the the whole razor stays flat on the glass, dont be tempted to use the corner to get the liquid paper off quicker.

Acetone (get it from the paint section of your auto store of choice).

Just DON'T get it on your bodywork whatever you do. It evaporates in no time so it shouldn't be too difficult.
