Can me please discuss

- What time we are leaving Brisbane and the meet point. It has been recommended that we leave around 430/5 to beat traffic. seeing there is people from all around brisbane are people happy to meet at a southern point (westeners like me and ingres can go south not north to 1st meet). how does Yatala BP at 5am sound?

- What time we are heading home. Corey has said around 7-8am to get home 7-8pm how does this sound?

- which way are we going coast road or new england highway? EDIT: confirmed coastal road

can everyone please confirm

xoxo

And if you are meeting at the Strapylton BP, then I guess you will be heading the Pacific Highway way then. It's quicker that way anyway.

correct, much of a muchness i think. google says its shorter this way and atleast its a tiny bit interesting to stay away unlike inland

EDIT: what are you'se doing at hunter valley and how long will you be there for?

That said, inland can work out quicker due to less devices along the way that contain a lens. But I'm all about keeping this drive casual. Done one too many interstate runs at paces that should not be discussed here. No need for any of that anymore.

I believe Andrew will be seeing his brother (?) and getting some wine. Me... I'll just be stopping by at Draytons at Pokolbin to pick up a bunch of wine/port.

Because I will only be passing through to pick stuff up, I'm thinking to keep it fun, I can time it right so that I can meet you guys at say BP on the Pacific Highway at Heatherbrae which is about 2 hours out of Sydney along the way to Brissy. That could work. It only adds an hour to my total driving so it's nothing big. Then I can join in on the trip back.

mick what happends if we are there after 6?

We just have to let them know in advance so they can be there when we are.

shiza it's going to be a long drive either way. My brother is away at the snow for the long weekend so I'm going to take a chance and drive down via the New England highway. I'll pickup the wines on the way down. In terms of distance there isn't alot of difference between the coastal route and the NE highway route.

So count me in for the drive back with the crew, unless you guys aren't leaving on the Monday.

* Once we organise a departure time from Sydney, I will organise myself to join up with the group when you pass the BP Connect at Heatherbrae. You don't need to stop in there... I will simply be there before hand ready to tag along when you pass by. My return trip detail is shown in the attached link.

Sorry to break this to you guys at this time (especially Rowan) but it appears that my current company is interested in talking me to stay so the 2 week road trip I had planned might not come to be......

Looks like should I stay with the company ..... I might just be driving up with the Melb mob, again if any, straight to Sydney and then perhaps hang for another day before coming back to Melb...

So looking forward to the road trip ..
