had a ride in a 2002 mx-5 today top down sunny day cold air intake and exhaust beautiful thing :P how does it compare to the tivo? in all honesty loved your tivo too mate pure class same as the mx-5

Cheers mate. I try to make my changes functional B) , but sometimes you need the extra rice :P

My MX5 is a completely different beast. The sussy is still relatively stock (only on lowered springs, stock Bilstein shocks and stock SE swaybars), but very 'crashy' over the bumps. More so than the D2s on the stivo. New suspension and sways would definitely make it handle like its on rails.

Btw if you (and others) weren't aware, SEs are turbo'd, but atm makes similar power to the stivo, albeit through the rear wheels :P . Full boost from the IHI VJ35 factory turbo (tiny lil thing!) comes on around 3500-4000rpm and redline is at 6500rpm, so definitely different there compared to the 8200rpm redline on the stivo. With an aftermarket ECU, injectors and current mods, it should be somewhere in the range of 170-180kW atw!

Oh and the Torsen LSD helps massively :toast:

Yeah I finished the box a while back and had it in. Not too many photos of it I'm afraid. I was really limited with the choice of subs i could work with so I'm selling the box and the sub.

The box was more of an exercise to familiarise myself a bit more with fiberglass.

Btw I ended up with a Bazooka 8 inch dual voice coil sitting in my empty boot. Hard to get decent quality bass when there's no carpet, trim, nada lol. But it will do.

Not much has happened since last time...

Did some DIY things to get her to look the way I want:

-Blacked out badges and rearranged rear

-Bought OEM reflectors and sprayed them red using metalcast (still reflect perfectly)

-Restitched my handbrake as it was looking scraggy and brown more than red (thanks to this thread http://www.mazda-speed.com/forum2/index.php/topic,20058.0.html. The thread I had was a little too thin so I doubled the thread for each pass.

Then I took her for some pics yesterday

Actually in these photos my car wasn't the cleanest.

Full detail usually includes:

-Wash with Megs Nxt Gen car wash with microfibre wash mitt

-303 Fabric/Vinyl Cleaner for the soft top

-Claybar

-A pass of Megs Ultimate compound with Megs G220 DA polisher/Lake Country pad

-Autoglym Super Resin Polish with Megs G220 DA polisher/Lake Country pad

-Now using Megs Ultimate wax liquid (was using Tech wax 2.0)

-Megs Ultimate detailer and Megs Ultimate Quik wax as an inbetween.

I do this maybe once or twice a year..
