Hi Guys,

As anyone here attended this years Motor Show?

i did yesterday evening after work and i have to say i was let down.

after 2 years without a motor show in Sydney i was expecting Car Manufacturers to come out with all guns blazing.

turns out this years motor show was just like going to a Dealership, except you have to pay for this one.

Cons:

* Hardly any Concepts

* Cars on show most of them already on the road or about to be replaced.

* BMW, Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Fiat,Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler,Ferrari, Aston Martin, Saab.... all missing in Action

Pros:

* Lexus LF-A

* Audi stand... love the cars, quality...but way too expensive

* Range Rover new 2 door 4wd

what are your thoughts, to people you have attended the motorshow this year??

Went today but its OK,I knew it would be average. But its still a " car day out" so being a car fan it's still good to go..

Not surprised Toyota always dissapoint without fail, no merchandise,bags nothing,everyone else always has stuff..

Didn't like the FT86, saw a LFA earlier this year and still love it, the Lexus hatch was missing a KIA badge but I did fall in love with the Focus RS and that orange Merc...

When it returns in 2012 it will be at Homebush I believe...

I wanted to take a snap of the green Focus RS, but there were way too many people crowded around it. :(

Personally, I really liked the new Mercedes SLS AMG..

Yep thats the one, something supercool about that car, I sat in the RS for about 5min crunching numbers in my head and didn't want to get out till I heard it was $60k ? **** kidding but still love it.

I didnt mind it, although i havent been in a long time. I just thought there werent enough sports cars around, and a few of them were hiding in the back like the GTR and EVO X.

And yes.. no toyota stuff to even buy. So embarrassed when i asked and the girl said no :blink:

i now knw why i have not been to one of these shindigs in a long while, last time i recall was the late 90's

but for what it was, i still enjoyed the `car day out, just like `jvn11l pointed out =]

btw, did anyone happen to give the Gran Turismo contest a go driving the FT86 at the Toyota stand...

i think my best lap time was some 10-15sex slower than the overall record :toast::lol:
