Hi everyone!

I bought a Touchscreen unit like most of the users here!

I ran into a problem yesterday!

Its a minor and silly mistake.

I was trying to lower the brightness in the GPS mode, I tapped the contrast too quick and then it went too dark.

Now when I enter the GPS mode its just a black screen!

Its not in iGo yet but its the screen before it!

It looks like this screen!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dn0I9uu0nwQ&feature=related ( Skip to around 1.34 min )

and this is my problem now! I took a video of it

I tried resetting the unit, remove battery and it still the same!

Anyone know how to really reset these things?

or can someone take a step by step picture and show me how to get back into that screen brightness menu?

or even take a short video and show me!

That way maybe I can follow the video or steps and get back into it while blind folded! haha

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I emailed the asain guys that sold me the unit on ebay and they are useless!

they tell me to go into the setting and change the brightness higher! haha! of course I knw that but I cant see what Im touching! haha

PLEASE HELP ME! PLZ

HI Mate there should be a reset button that you can press on the front of the unit. You will need something pointy to stick in the hole and it should return it to factory settings if im not mistaken, maybe someone here can clarify it for you before you try it. Good luck with it

He already said he tried that.

Mate try removing your GPS SD Card and connecting it to the computer. There should be a config file in the root directory of the GPS software that should contain the settings for contrast etc amongst other things. I'm sorry for not being too specific but I don't have my own SD card available to properly guide you.

It's very hard to see how the unit operates from the video. You wouldn't happen to be in Brisbane are you?

Have you tried cpntacting the seller. I have just bought this exact HU from him and his correspondence is fast and helpful. Only other thing I would try is removing the radio fuses for a few minutes and hope the loss of power restores settings. Sorry I can't be of more help.

As a side note, could you tell me your thoughts on the unit? Nobody else on here has reviewed one. Sorry for the minor hijack!

I'd be interested in this too. Its one of the pricier units on ebay and the one I'm personally looking at when funds free up so I'm interested to see if its worth the extra premium.

Jacob, this is the same $370 (delivered) unit that I have just bought and not the one you are thinking of
