Hi!

I changed my headunit to 2-din Sony xplod recently and the space left by the stock headunit was too big so there are still some space around the new head unit. It doesnt look good in the eyes and it's been bugging me for a while. I dont know what to fill it in. Also, I whenever i step on the accelerator and the headunit is on, there's always a whistling noise. I think it needs an audio capacitor but i dont know which one. I dont know much about cars so i dont know which ones to get. There are like 1 Farad Capacitor, then there's 2, then 3, etc. Please help?

Thanks!

I bought fillers from toyota for that space you see for less than 6usd here en Argentina. Probably you may get a better price.

And about the Cap, I´ll check the manuals I have if I find something.

Cheers.

The capacitor you are thinking of is for large current draw, like running a big amp with subs.

What you are after is the smaller type, it generally goes on the back of the alternator.

I would check your wiring into the headunit first, it can usually be traced to a bad earth or a large power wire running near the speaker wires.
