Gday all

I have noticed Kluger 17" inch alloy wheels for sale on Gumtree and Ebay advertised as fitting Hilux 5 stud 2wd.

I recently tried a Kluger wheel on my 2wd 2005 SR5 GGNR15 4.0L extra cab hilux and found that the front brake calipers hit the rims (by about 8mm).

Whats the go? any advice? as I would like to fit these wheels as they are genuine Toyota and the load rating is OK.

I have seen the same rims on a 2010 extra cab, perhaps the front brakes have changed? and if so can I fit the 2010 calipers and rotors to my 2005.

Any advice appreciated.

use 10mm spacer or find different wheels with better offset

I am in WA and spacers are illegal and void your insurance.

The offset is the same as the standard 15" alloys.

Unless you want to void your insurance DO NOT put spacers on !!!!!!!!!!!!

I,m running 16 x 7 load rated Kluger rims on my GGN15r,had them on from day dot and have heaps fo clearance. The only way you are going to see if the ones you are thinking of buying is to actually fit one up, cheers mate

The 17s don't fit my 2005 as the rims hit the calipers on the front. I do want to put these wheels on though as I can buy them with good tyres for $100 a wheel. So I am looking at changing the front calipers and most likely the rotors. From a bit of research I have found there was a brake upgrade in Aug 2008. Does anyone know if the new calipers and rotors will fit my 2005?

And if the distance from the front of the new caliper to the rotor is less than that of the old calipers. I have asked the question of a couple of brake places and couldn't get much help.

New brakes are bigger, so I dont like your chances
