yah i know this LOL

but its gotta get absolutley drenched to do any damage anyways

i dont intend on submerging the pod under a big puddle any time soon so yeah haha

Posted
you can get an extesnion pipe that angles the pod away from the fog light so that way it doesnt have to come out

but so far corzza EVERY ONE ive spoken to the CAI doesnt fit without taking the fog light out in the 05 model

including mine

so until you can prove us wrong please dont try and tell us what we have already done

cheers buddy

Ok cool we have a deal!!! Im going to let toyota install mine! they said all i would have to do is cut that steel plate just behind the headlight, which also hold something. a white plastic bottle. and thats it.

but il let them do it cos they know what they are doing. they might have to get the fog loight out to install it but it will be put back in afterwards.

Posted

but thats cheating... it doesn't fit as is and thats the end of it, cutting bits off the car doesn't constitute as modifying the pipe

Posted

the bit they cut off is whats needed to be done on all TRD intakes

besides man its alot tighter fit in the 05 models than the 03-04 models

no matter what we tried the fog light wasnt going to stay in with with the CAI there without getting the little extension that curvs away from the front (but then that means an even longer pipe again)

Posted

well il let you know how it goes. they said it will fit and they have done it before so lets see

Posted

my guess is they cut away at the car not at the bracket that fits the matrix but not the corolla, but evl is right... the CAI as is will not fit with the foglight no matter how hard you try until you start cutting things

Posted

ok cool. i just wanna wait for the out come. so u saying that everyone with a face lift rolla with spots has to take it out for the CAI to fit?

Posted

so far everyone has

BUT that little extension pipe is available that ive mentioned 50 times LOL

it bends slightly away from the foggie so that the POD will fit in

Posted

where do u get this pipe from?

Let me just take it to toyota and see how they do it. so it may cost a little but it will be interesting to see what they do to get it to fint.

Because everyone seems to be doint it themselves and they have to minus the fog.

but im determined to get mine to fit with the fog light in!

Posted

as you have said before, they will cut away the metal behind the headlight, this is most likely so they can have more space to play with the pipe

Posted

well then thats fine cos they said thats what i must do but il let them do it cos if something goes wrong they are liable!

Posted

definatly man they say they can do it so just let them

and thats right if something goes wrong they are liable cus they installed it so it should all be sweet

as for the pipe you need to get in contact with xoom for it

cheers
