Sydney is pretty expensive for the coloured ones.

go to the RTA site and make your own site and it gives you a quote.

Get the black and white ones cause you don't have to pay a annual fee

Well it depends what kind of personalised number plates you want. For 6 letters of your own choice you are looking at $400 annually.

Actually i think they are all pretty steep now.

Pfffft!

In SA there's a one off fee of $170 for personalised plates with 6 characters (incl. at least one number).

For custom plates (more choice of colours and no restriction to have numbers or letters), they are $190 per year.

Thanks Guys,

Had a look at liscensing centre website and was able to get prices from there. Approx.$660 for a slimline aluminium plate with only a name on it up to 10 letters.

when we got our red plates we asked rta how much it would cost to just put them on the other car and they said they would charge us $110 just to swap them between 2 of our own cars........and u know what they dont even unscrew it for u.......u have to unscrew them urself .....the $110 is just for them to print out the new sticker......DAMN !!

yeah i think SA wins...

Wheeee !!! SA is cheapest again !

hey im from perth

my black and white VITAGEN plates cost me $290, once off

thanks

Sounds like WA are the cheapest, and overall I think QLD might be next cheapest, given that we don't pay any annual fees either.

My retro plates were $190 all up, but they're more expensive now.
