Main question is if anyone has used the Flashlube Valve Saver Fluid or Flashlube Injector cleaner products which Super Cheap Auto has as another clearance sale item.

A friend was mainly buying this FlashLube product to use in his older BMW motorcycles.

When I had a look at the claimed benefits, I decided to order as well for use mainly as a fuel system and fuel injector sleaner. Bonus if there is some fuel economy.

5 litre bulk buy price is attractive considering what I have paid for Fuel Doctor and various fuel injector cleaners when on special.

I've never really used any fuel additives and would be interested to see if the claims stand up Ash. My thinking is that the fuel delivered to the injectors is already filtered and the need for injector cleaner would be counterintuitive. Not sure really.

I'm currently using this stuff  https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/rislone-rislone-high-performance-injector-cleaner-177ml/290781.html

I mix it to 1/2 tank fuel & find it works well. An alternative would be 1/2L of metho in the tank. I used to use Toyotas D4S Injector cleaner which is awesome but it's also expensive.

The valve Saver fluid is not of any use in a modern car or motorcycle.

The origin of valve Saver fluid comes from when leaded fuel was removed from the market (which is why it is called a lead replacement product).

Which wasn't a problem for the modern cars at the time, but there were still some older cars and motorcycles that needed this product,

And the reason is that the older cars didn't have hardened valve seats (and from memory some didn't have hardened valves), and so the valve head/ valve seat would be damaged from the constant "impacts" when the valve closed,

because the lead in the fuel acted as a lubricant/ "impact insulator", and with this removed from the fuels, these engine components would get damaged.

So in short, you don't need this product if you have a modern vehicle :-)

When it comes to injector cleaners.... I use them every now and then as a maintenance item, along with using 98 octane fuel from reputable Petrol Stations

But they are not liquid schwartz, in spite of what some brands (pretty much all of them) claim "unlocks horse power".....
