Hopefully someone replies seeing as this is an old thread.

Did u happen to sand back the engine cover before you put the primer on? or was the primer sprayed straight on the plastic after the wash?

I found that septone plastic primer at supercheap, it says the colour is grey, am i right so far? and can the spray used after the primer be normal colour spray out of a can or does it have to be heat proof paint like the stuff you spray onto your caliper due to the cover being over the engine??

Also does anyone know how to spray metal as in if i were to change the cai piping colour?

the plastic primer I used was clear.

The most important thing to remember it's not quantity but quality that counts.

by that I mean, it's better to do a lot of thin sprays then to do it all in 1 or 2 thick coats.

Don't do it. Polished/anodised surfaces are not painted, they are treated. The paint probably won't stick anyway. If you want a coloured one, look at the Injen products. I think they make blue red and black as well as polished.
