HI, I have a 2013 Camry Arara R, and was wondering of it was ok to put injector cleaner fuel additive in a the tank. In my old hyundai I used to use it whenever I done a trip to sydney from brisbane  and roughly every 4th tank fill up.

!. can it do any harm to my engine in my camry?

2. if its ok to us it, is there a preferred brand.

Thanks

Fuel cleaner additives are fine to use. Just pick any reputable brand and follow the manufacturers directions for use and you're good to go.

These is my shortlist of trusted products. Penrite, Nulon and Liqui Moly

I would only stick to Nulon and Molly stay away from the rest especially Wynn’s it’s got a very bad reputation. And you really don’t need to use it so often as you do.

Thank you, any views on the LUCAS brand?

Just as bad as Wynns. There is another good brand out there but it's hard to get a hold of mainly popular in the US and Europe.

This is a timely reminder.

It has been a while since I have added some fuel injector cleaner especially as I do a lot of short distance driving and use 91 ULP.

Planning a road trip after Easter so will hopefully get some decent fuel economy figures unless my self-sabotaging lead foot wants to have some safe fun on the open highways.
