i don't know too much about them, but ive heard that they are a fairly good mid range brand (up there with Kicker) and they make stuff more suited for a SQ setup...

I know of this brand. They're high grade stuff alright. In the league of DD's, Focals, Morels, ID, etc. Have heard them before at competitons. All I can say is you won't be dissapointed with them ;)

IMHO, hertz speakers arent all that crash hot. But for 150, they are very good value. And what do you mean about the size? Size matters if you are talking about the woofer. Bigger the better. And the bigger the magnet, the more power they can usually handle.

i think danz is saying that everyone has a certain preference for tastes in audio.

personally i think hertz splits aren't bad when paired with the right amp. however, are a bit too bright/sharp for my liking and could get potentially tiring to listen to after a while. so i went with boston acoustics and an audison amp. i stuck with a hertz sub tho!

Im thinking of getting a pair of Hertz to go with my kenwood 6 x 9's in the back... I've a 95 Camry so they'll only be 4 inch... Autobarn have them for $80 in a 4 inch... I'm not looking to have it win at any comp or anything, just to match the good sound I get from the Kenwoods and make it a little louder & clear (as the fronts rattle) - would the Hertz do the job??
