Well done Hames :D 15.7 is a very nice time for the stock Stivo. How was the 1->2 change?

Did you get a ticket? if so can you share with us plz? would like to see the 60ft, reaction time, 1/2 way time, final speed etc :D

We will have to organise a few more of us to go out to the test&tune nights at the Willowbank Dragway ;)

You got a pretty slow reaction time bro, i think you could have ran alot faster, maybe even beat the guy next to you, good time anyway :D

I ahve had my car for 7 weeks and that was the first time ever i have raced....im sure there is worse first times then that!

Hames - Good work mate :) now the fight is on for the best 1/4 mile time with proof (ie.ticket no G-Tech) in the forums.

Would you guys like to see a sticky where we can post our official 1/4 mile times??

Your reaction time was 0.56 sec slower, so if you'd launched at the same time, with the same gear changes, you could have run about 15.2 secs!!

With practice, you might get into the 14's. Well done!

Nar with test n tunes it doesnt matter about reaction time, they just time once you start going, not on green....

When the car is run in, you will get better times. Well done dude.

Also when you learn the car, and get better at shifting, again your time will improve.

With all the above, low 15s, high 14s is certianly in the ball park.

With the modded stivo's in this forum, 14s would be easy. It will be nice to see peekay34's red barren and trd141's black beauty go down the 1/4 mile.

Also if our cars are producing less than what they should (see http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/index.php?showtopic=700), you never know how really fast our rice machines really are.

Great time bro, 15.7.

Slow reaction time though. The trick to a good reaction time is to let the clutch out after the 2nd amber light comes on.

That way youll have it down to around .03 sec mark. If you let the clutch go at the green by the time it locks up you waste too much time. When i raced i had beaten a car that ran a flat 15 cos of the r/t.

Saying all that, its easier said that done. When the nerves kick in when your staging its much harder.

Anyway well done bro.... i dont know why all the mags show such crap times for our cars....
