Hatch is being enlarged and moved upmarket to compete with the Golf, and will now be a separate model.

So according to this, performance will be identical to the pre-emissions 1zz-fe's. No improvement in performance only improved efficiency?

You would think improved performance and efficiency would go hand in hand

Actually, improved performance generally means lower efficiency. It is improved performance by about 10kw on the electronic throttle body engines.

I've been reading up on the 2FZ-FE engine that is going into these things (1.8L) as the replacement for th 1ZZ-FE. Duel VVTi sounds good :)

Isn't it called the 2ZR-FE?

probably... I just ran some randon letters through my head and that sounded familar, you may be right.

No, If an engine is made to run more efficient, it...

a) Uses less fuel and lowers emissions.

B) As a result of running more efficiently - it produces more power per litre.

But true I was looking at it compared to mine but not the new ones.

Definition of efficiency:

Producing higher outputs utilising less inputs, without foregoing quality (from economics hehe  )

So for engines I guess this means using less fuel to produce more power (maybe without foregoing torque or poor gas emissions?)

But yes I think the automotive definition of efficiency is centered on fuel use, and gas emissions.

some cool features for this JDM car include. cruise control with radar sensors so that it slows down if there is car in front. Like a Mercedez S-Class.

keyless entry. No need to press buttons or insert key anymore. Same as a S-Class.

Automatic Parking parallel parks and 90-deg reverse park. Like a Lexus.

This time there is also telescope adjustment on steering.

Oh yes, the new engine is a 1.8L with dual vvt-i. pretty much the same performance specs but I reckon it is cleaner since all newer engines are subjected to more stringent emissions requirements. 100kw and 174Nm@4400rpm

The conservative looks is still there. Honestly, I thought the new civic looks heaps better and I'm a corolla owner.

The red fielder there looks nice.

Sizewise, it appears to me to be larger than previous Corolla Models.

Pity they never did anything about changing the hilux suspension
