Wider track

As we mostly know (Or noobs like me) a car with a wider track generally can corner better. What I'm trying to get to is that are their any wheels that can fit the sportivo and maybe widen the track of the car?? i.e. wheels that protrude from the body of the car when fitted? I know spacers can be installed, but only if the spacers are designed correctly., if not the hub is not going to like it.

Cheers

are you sure you want wheels that protrude from the body? i think would look ugly and be illegal (vic rules). for your application look for offsets that are low but i doubt you will find anything unless custom made. if you are in melb probably good to go racing project they are specialists in modifications.

do NOT have your tyres stickin out of the guard... unless u'r suspension is very very very very stiff... lol

my guards used to slice away at the rubber at every bumb... i got the guards rolled n still the same thing it was horrible... if u do want wider wheels i would suggest flaring or pumping your guards... plus u'll get that widebody look :)

In NSW it's illegal to have tyres protruding from the guards for obvious reasons, next time the F1 is on see how easy it is for a wheel to ride over the top of another one and send the car flying.

Also, the MARGINAL increase in track that you'd get (remember track is usually about 1.4-1.5m, so 10-15mm either way is going to make bugger all difference. Properly matched springs and shocks, with a sway bar, will improve cornering infinitely better, and probably cost the same or less than a set of rims and tyres
