  1. Face Lift = Excuse to raise the price without offering comparible increase in value or utility.
  2. They're like all "Genuine" accessories. Toyota does a deal to get bulk volume pricing and then sticks their margin on top and adds a logo on. The genuine cargo barrier is made by Milford Industries, the genuine roof racks by one of the majaor manufacturers.
  3. I CAN........ With my Alpine 10" DVD system installed in roof, can see perfectly out the rear window! It is an awesome piece of kit, kids love it!!!!!!!!!! Reids I agree, an Alpine 10" only partially blocks the top part of the rearview mirror (see this post). However, he's considering a 15" DVD player which is going to hang 340mm down from the roof (based on the specs in the ebay listing) compared to 200mm with the 10" alpine (as measured in my vehicle). The 15" screen will definitely obscure the rear view mirror. This may be an issue for some.
  4. You won't be able to see out the back with the rear view mirror.
  5. If both edges are scrubbing then that could indicate underinflation. What pressure are you running the tyres at?
  6. Was towing a small box trailer around on the weekend, probably 400kg extra weight, and had a slight increase in fuel consumption by around 0.5L/100km
  7. Most portable GPS units come with speed limit alerts. Works in the major cities but limited coverage off major highways in rural areas. It's primarily what I use mine for 90% of the time.
  8. Agree with the cargo mat, it is realy good at keeping the back clean. You'll need to take it out if you use the 3rd row of seats, but that is a small price to pay. I'd also get some deep dish rubber mud mats for the front. They fit reasonably well and contain a 95% of the debris that normally ends up in the foot well. You will need to trip the corner off under the accelerator otherwise it limits the depth of travel. Only issue with these is that they cover the fuel cap release valve, but it is easy enough to get to for the one time a week I use it. As for the 2nd and 3rd rows, SCA sell a full width generic rubber floor mat that can be trimmed down to size and keeps the back clean. Tow hitch is good if you are remotely likely to ever tow anything. I've used it a couple of times to borrow a trailer to take stuff to the dump, and also use the courtesy trailer from Bunnings. I also have a cargo barrier as we like to load up the back when we go away. It makes me feel a little bit safer knowing that there is something stopping everything hurtling through the cabin if we get into a serious accident. Only downside is it needs to be removed when using the 3rd row, and the cargo blind can't be used with it, but then it's pretty hard to see in the back anyway with the privacy glass. My missus finds it a little distracting when she's driving (Which is very rare) but I don't notice it. I have kids and don't have side steps. I find they get in and out ok. They both complain about it from time to time, but otherwise it's something that we happily live without.
  9. Ultimately your driving style makes more of a difference than the type of fuel you use. Thrash it and your economy will be poor, drive smoothly and minimise stopping/acceleration and it will be great. I've always found whether I thrash it or drive smoothly, I still get to where I'm going in the same time. Save your money and stick with 91 RON. If you want to keep the engine clean, use an aftermarket fuel additive.
  10. I'm shocked at the lack of attention to the finish form the factory for such an expensive car, given the attention to detail and craftmanship that goes into the rest of the vehicle. I wouldn't accept a brand new vehicle from any dealer in a state like that, let alone a Ferrari.
  11. Covered many times before: FASTER THAN R50 V10 TWIN TURBO VW TOE RAG!!! Fuel consumption survey (3.5L Kluger) Premium or Regular Unleaded? Fuel consumption TOO HIGH what do I do?
  12. Meguiars, only because that's what I first used and became familiar with. Also, because of the excellent Meguiars Online Forums and helpful advice there.
  13. The Mirror Glaze Sythetic Sealant M21 is the same product as Nxt 2.0 so you've got a double up there. Also, the M205 and M2 pretty much do a similar job. All up probably $300-$400 worth of products. How do you find the interior quick wipes?
  14. Plus as an added bonus, UQW smells nice too :)
  15. Glad to see you stuck with the Kluger I'm looking forward to your next round of testing.
  16. Be very, very careful with a rotary as they are a lot more powerfull and less foregiving than a DA. Before doing anything have a browse through the following site: http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26009 Then ask questions if in doubt.
  17. M205 and M105 are the best combo you can get and achieve the best results with your G200/Megs DA. I still have my 105/205 half full eventhough i've used it thousands of times its ridiculous. just doesnt seem to run out. Megs Aust sell M105/205 here but its still currently a non DA approved version, in which case when you do use it with a DA, its a tad hard to rid the residue. I have found the combo to work so well that I've never even tried the M83 I purchased (which isn't available here).
  18. Unfortunately http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/ won't ship internationally, but their prices were the lowest I could find. I ended up ordering the products through http://www.properautocare.com/ who price matched some of ADS's prices and gave a discount on other products. Very few of the online detailing suppliers in the US will ship outside the US & Canada. I found that I had to buy in bulk quantities to make it worthwhile, otherwise the freight was a killer. For most stuff it's cheaper to go through your local autoshop. For the professional stuff which isn't available through retail I've used http://www.zas.com.au/.
  19. I ended up purchasing my G220 locally then buying the 2.0 Pads and backing plate from the US. I also bought 1Gal of M205, 32Oz of M105 and 1Gal of M83 from the US as well. Saved me around $200-300 over buying it locally but cost over $100 in freight. The advantage with buying from the US is that you can access a lot of the other products that are not sold in Australia.
  20. I tried to track down a recovery point for the Kluger when I first bought the car through various 4WD accessories companies. I could not find an off the shelf product for the Kluger as it is not considered a 4WD and therefore not in need of a recovery point. I was told that I would have to arrange a recovery point to be designed by an engineer and then fabricated.
  21. Have a read through http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16358. I have the same issue with the foot well panel. Mentioned it to the dealer last service who "fixed it", but still a problem. Getting very tired of not having issues fixed during servicing and then having to make another booking to get them fixed.
  22. If it was a reflection of it's street value, the price would be much lower :P

    Filling up

Although it cannot be classed as a rigourous scientific investigation, don't forget the issue was put to the test on Mythbusters in the first season (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MythBusters_%282003_season%29#Cell_Phone_Destruction)
  24. Just stick with your HID spotties B)
