  1. Goodluck Ray! Good on you mate. Let us know how it goes, even though I won't be boosting mine. :)
  2. ..mid 2010 ZRE's, Toyota went from the no-brainer spin-off/spin on steel filter (yours) to a plastic housing (mine) containing a paper oil filter (04152-37010), you were lucky enough to have the pre plastic one.. Thankyou for clearing that up, I had no idea, when you change it could you post a pic of it,only if you can or remember. Cheers :) Hey, I believe (saying believe because I'm not too sure what you mean by plastic and all) it's 2009 onwards ZREs. I know mine has paper oil filter and is different to 07 and 08 ZREs..
  3. Sounds like a good option Mick (the only idea so far ). Like the other time at Albert Park? I know you weren't there but it was more about the food and the chatting.. :) Hahaha okay Tash. Let's see how this goes. I'm thinking it would better if it was either on the 23rd or 30th of Jan. Main reason being, parks would be more busy/packed on Australia Day and especially if it's a nice day.. :( Sounds good. Come and meet us. We don't bite haha. That's a suggestion noted. Anyone know any other good parks that have a fair amount of car parking? :D
  4. You lost me! Ls? His other car he just recently bought..Haha Back to topic, yes normally sold per single seat and they are a fair bite from your wallet. Make sure you read the description, some are not even adjustable so that might defeat your purpose of getting one..
  5. Totally forgot to mention that! Haha Trung said he might have to pull out. Keep the ideas coming (if you have any)! If Jan does not pull through, we can always use the idea for another Monthly meet. :D
  6. I agree, they should've done something with the seats or even the engine (but that's a whole diff thread). I'm not big in built, I slide over the place in corners so I have to hold onto the steering wheel/gear stick extra tight during corners.. But saying that, they are Corollas and are built to transport people from A to B (unfortunately). Peter.
  7. Hey guys, What's planned for Jan monthly meet? It will be a BBQ at Bundoora Park. Some chatting, taking photos and the usual hoo ya! Details below. :) What: VIC TOCAU Monthly Meet & BBQ. When: 10:30AM, 30th January, 2011. Where: Bundoora Park, asphalt car park along Red River Gum Ave (refer to map below!). What to bring: Some coinage to help our fellow friends affected by the floods. If you want to bring stuff along, write what you're bringing in a post below. Entrance to Bundoora Park is Red River Gum Ave and Plenty Road (near Plenty Rd and Main Drive) - approx. location is 1069 Plenty Road, Bundoora, VIC 3083. Follow the red arrows to the asphalt car park and this is where it will be. :) Ok, you know the deal! Copy and add your name if you're attending! B) 1. On a side note, to help our fellow friends facing a difficult time in QLD, any profits (if there is such payment for food etc) or if people feel like donating will be collected on the day and I will send it all on behalf of the TOCAU Community!! :) Also I will have to add, there is to be NO hooning, reckless driving and revving! It is a family park; other people will be there, and like us, will want to enjoy their day! :) Looking forward to this!! :D Peter. P.S. Tash will be organising the Feb monthly meet up her way (which we will all be going one way or another; we owe her! :P).
  8. The meet looked awesome! Check the "Upcoming Club Meets & Events" page. :) Sorry, I was just too busy with this.. :P
  9. Hey Cuong, do you mind weighing the kappas with rubber? Maybe get rid of my stockies and get these as spares..maybe Peter.
  10. Sorry mate, will be away with family. Catch you in the new year! I see what's happening for Jan meet.. Peter.
  11. When you say "it starts moving suddenly and not smooth", are you applying constant pressure on the accel pedal?
  12. Hey Will, the car somewhat looks familiar (minus the TRD sticker)! :P
  13. Nice buy PETE! Looks like money does really grow on herbs! HAHA what a sick ar5e project lined up; I can see it already!!
  14. Any Corollas manufactured before 2009 do not have traction control. (You're not missing out on much, I find it annoying :P)
  15. 09 ZRE Levin ZR - 6 Speed Manual Hey mate, have a read of the link above. It's not that it does nothing, just a bit of lag due to the "drive-by-wire" (electronic) rather than it being a direct cable link to the throttle body like in older cars. It's not just Toyota doing this, other manufacturers are doing it also. At first, the accelerator is weird but over time, you'll adapt your footwork and get use to it. :) Peter.
  16. Sorry guys, I will not be free. :( If I don't catch you guys soon, have a lovely and safe Christmas and Happy New Year! Peter.
  17. Hmmm. Where to start. I'm not sure about you Southerners, but QLD meets are all kinds of awesome. LOL Daryl my notification email told me you said otherwise! Hahaha Welcome to the club! I got a friend called 'Ying' as well but he's not a female (I hope). Down in Melb, we usually meet up every month but more recently, more have attended the weekly meets. The monthly meets, we usually have a drive somewhere, say up Healesville etc, have lunch/dinner, take some photos and good catch up/talk. Have a look at this thread frequently. If you feel like coming out, respond your interest to that particular meet in the thread or give one of us a message. :) Peter.
  18. Oh Sorry.... as the car is too new still... there are a lot of people just staring on my car all the time and I start to feel a bit annoying... but sorry man LOL Thanks Saw you down Springvale Road last Wednesday too! I didn't wave 'cause I think it was your missus driving and thinking, she'd probably think I'm so crazy random mofo! LOL Anyway, does look awesome in the flesh mate. Peter.
  19. Looks awesome mate, especially when lowered! Keep it up! Looking forward to what you do next (no pressure!). :) Peter.
  20. Woooo yeah baby! Was thinking getting a 500D, so cheap atm for body + lenses.. PM'd +1, agreed. Although if you get a single din, you can have a spot to put stuff (using one of those black spacers things). Also just a minor thing (assuming you just want flip-out single din), make sure it does not stick out too much when it flips out and 'blocks' your driving view. In the end, it's up to you; how you what and are willing to spend. :) Peter.
  21. Just wait guys, it'll be worth it. :P
  22. +1 Looks absolutely wicked mate!
  23. Thanks Cuong, looking your look atm though! :P (I like it simple and clean.) Thanks Lee. Really tempted to but we'll know all in due time (you know how much I love sound and that I'm in love with your focals hehe). I was serious when I said I'm considering a house. It was nice to follow your now fatter **** on the last leg of the cruise home. Have a safe one and will catch up with you soon mate. :) Thanks Duy, wasn't that much.. :P
