  1. I am thinking of getting the RJR Tarmac (10 Spoke-like Stivo wheel ) 17x7 in Bronze for $180 each. My Stivo is black so u guys think it will look alright? I want a JDM look. Would yous even recommend RJR in the first place? I've never even heard of them till now and i know Rodney Jane is the boss of BobJane T-Marts. Other wheels i am considering are from Advanti or Enkei. Checked out Shao's lightweight Enkei RS+M 16x7 and they are $410 each! Another nice one is the Advanti Striker 6 spoke 17x7 Grey with polished silver lip and has Rays Engineering written on it. Sounds expensive to me. Cheers, Z
  2. Yeh mate so sorry man, was going to sell it b4 but now that i got the clutch kit and good deal for installation i thought what the heck, might as well drop it in ;) I might still end up selling the car if i get a good deal on a low km 200SX :P Z
  3. Yeh, its a rather low price compared to the rest. Or it could have something wrong with it. Will find out
  4. There is a Silver 5/2001 S15 200SX Spec S with 85,000kms selling for $26,990 (price dropped from $31,000 apparently), but its a Fleet Sales dealership and the vehicle was an ex-company car and hasn't been cleaned/detailed inside and out. Log book also hasn't been stamped from 25,000kms to now! There is also a Silver 1999 S15 Spec R Silvia (Jap Spec import) with 46,500kms which i might go see but hard to know if it has been maintained and stuff. BEST DEAL yet - 2000 model 200SX (S14 or S15 not sure) with 53,000kms selling $21,500. Private sale though.
  5. Yeh right :P C'mon, its the box for the TRD CAI and TOM's flywheel, that spot in the picture is where i keep all the boxes :D This is how the flywheel looks like not unwrapped -
  6. I would recommend Dapto Clutch and Brakes located in Dapto for Clutch and Brake products if anyone living in Wollongong or South Coast is thinking of getting parts. They have been in business for many years and were very friendly and helpful in getting the stuff in (all done over the phone) and the products they provide are genuine quality. This is the 3rd time i bought clutches off them and they have all been good. My Kit was $385/- some might say i got ripped but i am happy with the price and customer service i got. It comes with Exedy HD pressure plate, organic clutch plate and bearings (they provided me with 2 bearings in case they gave me the wrong size). My TOM's flywheel will go in as well after sitting in my garage for months! Oh and i also recommend Tickner's Automotive in Oak Flats for servicing needs. They are a family business and are very friendly people. They are only charging me $200-$250 for installation and are honest people to deal with. If they can't do something they will always recommend a place to get it done. :) Z
  7. Oops i came across an old old thread and found the answer :P
  8. Buddy Club P1 Racing II Plus, 17x7.5inch, offset 40 or 42, 4x100.. I am considering getting these set of wheels but is it too big? Can i fit 215/45ZR17 load 87 or must i go with 225/45ZR17 load 91? Z
  9. Hmm, i was told by a friend with Suzuki Swift that the Falken ZE326 is rather durable and has good sidewalls but not real grippy.
  10. Sorry Weiwei i don't think i phrased my question right, what i mean is how do we know what setting suits the spring rate since people combine the Konis with springs from different manufacturers and i assume the spring rates are different. I am guessing it will have to be trial and error and just take the car for a hard drive or go to the track to test it out? Z or go Whiteline and Koni adjs. (yellow), like Dave's Stivo. That's where i am heading. A question though, how would you know what level to adjust on the Yellow Konis? I had it on a Civic before and i remember setting it to almost full stiffness, the car handled like a go-cart but also bounced around everywhere. ← when u get the koni's.....it comes with a lil knob u place this knob over ur strut n turn it left or right depending on whether u want softer or firmer (from memory....right is firmer and left is softer) NOTE: word of warning.....dont over tighten ur struts or it will damage them....u will know when to stop turning! when u feel u cant tighten n e more with out applying a lot of force than that is when to stop ←
  11. And i think the Stivo struts are gas charged so gas can leak??
  12. They freight to all over Australia and even overseas, but yeh they do seem like a reputable company. What about full-throttle.com.au? Anyone heard about them or dealt with them before?
  13. I am thinking of getting some stuff from either one of them.. are they reliable and reasonable? Thanks, Z
  14. Thanks for the invite Qui but can't make it to this one, besides its a Tuesday! Got to work :( Love to race your Pug again.. i am looking forward to an open speed day at Wakefield late June or early July. I need to let my new clutch bed in and will be getting new shocks and tyres soon too i hope. Enjoy and make sure to take heaps of photos! Cheers, Zee
  15. For those Stivos getting Konis i'm resurrecting this post. ;) Make sure you guys get the right one.

  17. Where do you buy the Fuchs in 20 litre containers ? I would love to know ! ← Direct from FUCH's :) or you can order them through 'walkers' AUTO#1 stores P.S - Also change the oil and filter every 5000 K's due to the engines high reving ← I think i better get my oil changed :P
  18. I am actually still looking around Dylan at 180sxs, Silvias S13, S14 and even S15s.. but i am reluctant to let go of the Stivo :( cuz its new and i still enjoy drivin it. I don't know if i am willing to part with it yet for a 2nd hand car. So spending more money on it will ensure i keep it :D :D
  19. FINALLY :P ← :P :D Next up new tyres and shocks! Wonder how long i will take with these
  20. I think there's only Castrol Synthetic Formula R 5W30 and 0W40, the 5W30 is around $45 and the 0W40 is around $69. I use the 5W30 but i am noticing a drastic increase in fuel consumption after i skipped my 25,000km service (am now at 27,000kms). I always get oil changed every 5000kms but not this time. I guess the oil is starting to get a bit thick.
  21. I am booked in to get Exedy HD clutch and TOM's Flywheel fitted next Monday. Hope everything turns out good.
  22. I think its too much trouble and too many variables affect results. i think they all do the same job so long as the pod is at a sensible location (not sucking hot air) and the piping is smooth (less turbulence) and 3inches in diameter.
