  1. Dave you are the king of awesomeness. MOTM again :P U need to make sure rob comes to this thread though.
  2. Well when the first new rolla was released (by that I mean the ZZE-122R) the ad they used to announce the new shape and VVTi engine was three rollas driving on a country road doing hand-brake turns and the like. You may remember the cow saying 'the all new Toyota Corolla'. But then a law was passed governing all new car ads saying that driving like the one in this ad (and the one I just mentioned) encouraged dangerous driving (hence my comment in my first post). And thats why you'll never see an ad like this again! yeah, cant have ads with motorsport or cars driving dangerously, but you can have Hyundai ads were babies are allowed to drive cars..... yeah right, good one.
  3. awesome!! A lot of that ad is filmed in canberra... I dare say that its either Neal or Rick Bates driving... its definately them driving the rolla at Bathurst! obviously its not the guy with the moustache :P
  4. That track is toight, toight like a tioger. Heres to hoping Tayles gets the jump on you this round :P I highly doubt it... 2ZZ FTW!!! Its not a bad little track... im a fan ;) U coming down for a weekend dave?

    dash lights

Hey mate, its just reverted to the standard setting. it dims the dash lights when the headlights are on so it doesnt blind u at night - people prefer it that way. its adjustable though - turn on your car, turn the headlights on. Press the odo button and scroll through the option - (Odo, Trip A, Trip B) When the headlights are on, you get a 4th option which is dashes. this indicates the amount of light for the dash lights (less dashes, dimmer light) to adjust, hold the odo button in like if you were reseting the trip, and it will scroll through the different light options.
  8. Here you go Dave... finally! Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  9. hey Dylan, your pretty clever... I was wondering if you would be able to inform me what the ratio one should divide the torque reading by to get an accurate torque reading at the engine? I couldnt quite work it out from this topic.
  10. i'd say buy wheels that have the right offset for your car. From what i've been told, running longer wheel studs is very dangerous.
  11. monthy thing would be good to start up again if we could get a consistant turn up. Why doesnt everyone post what nights of the week they are available and we can try work something out. Aside from that, yes Simo i will teach you to polish your kno.... car. Rob taught me, so maybe he should be in attendance as well!
  12. yus, sorry mate. I'm sure it would have helped if i read the topic first :P haha. So if u want them u have to buy 20? No option for 16?
  13. yeah i was gonna ask as well... Did we really need to know that 3 times?

    Oil change

just use a ryco filter from repco or stupidcheap auto or something. Works perfectly, and not very expensive.
  15. water pump failed? I dunno

    Oil change

u should always lube up the filter before u put a new one on, and also check to see that the rubber o ring from the old filter isnt stuck to the car.
  17. I wont be able to submit a pic until friday..... can I have an extension please miss?
  18. after driving my bosses brand new commodore ssv the other day i can safely say i would rather brake in a corolla than a commodore. Corolla has very good brakes. Should have enough torque to pull the boat of the ramp as well.
  19. They look exactly like the wedsport ones (like, exactly) that I tried to organise a GB for. but the weds are cheaper :P
