  1. No the were 2 weeks apart, but both from the same garage entry/exit at work. The first time it happened my whole week was ruining becasue it was the first real damage I've done to the wheels and car but the second time I was fine. LOL.
  2. With the wheels I have decided: I will fix the gutter rash with some sort of liquid metal yet to be decided.Paint them my self (the correct way!!!!)Or get them sandblasted and powder coated At this point in time I am leaning more towards painting them my self as I believe I will get a better result at the expense of a lot more effort. I have a few options: Paint them all completely some sort of dark gray or gun metal grey with glossPaint them all completely some sort of light OEM looking grey/silver with glossPaint only the lip dark grey or silver If I go dark I will spray my spare fog light covers a glossy black and remove the bottom grill chrome strip. Thoughts anyone? Anyone with some shop skills that might be able to help me out?
  3. New update!!! 2 new additions! Rear left Rear right
  4. lol @ using the word spectacles!!! I have some glasses that have a glare reduction coating on them that works a treat. If you are with a health fund expect to only pay around $100 for a new set.
  5. After seeing and sitting in the current Mazda 3, Toyota Corolla, Ford Focus, Honda Civic and Holden Cruze at a market research on the weekend I have to say that out of the 5 I would only buy the 3 or the Corolla. I gave the Civic the worse ratings out of the lot for various reason and the market research ended up being about the Civic. If there is one thing I took away from the research it is all of them except Toyota seem to be trying to appeal to consumers with gadgets and a million buttons all over the dash and steering wheel. Although the Corolla wasn't the sportiest it was the simplest interior. My biggest dislike about the Corolla was the ugly orange dash lights.
  6. That is a great list of excruciatingly ugly cars. I hope this is just a natural era that will pass that we are going through where all the new cars are coming out with ridiculous lines and blingy pointless features are what sells the car. When I look at a car I always imagine what I would think about it in 10 years.
  7. You should be able to get them professionally painted for 1/4 of a grand.
  8. This seems like a good idea but are you getting over loaded DJKOR? Maybe there is a setting to auto remove and set for mod approval if x amount of people push the Report button. I only suggest this because you will essentially allow the community to mod this section.
  9. Can I please suggest: An "FT-86 Club" in preempt to an Aussie FT-86 forum starting up. This is an opportunity!Remove Avalon from the "Aurion / TRD Aurion Club" as it doesn't belong.Add "Hybrid Camry" to the "Camry Club" as it deserves a special mention.Rename "Echo / Yaris Club" to "Yaris / Echo Club" for usability it is more likely someone looking would most liekly own a Yaris over an Echo. These are just petty change suggestions but I hope people agree keeping the site relevant is important.
  10. People have been signing this song for the last 20 years but the fact is that Toyota are the largest car company in the world for a reason. Having said that, I agree with you but you deserve a slap in the face for comparing Toyota to Hyundai.
  11. Good call. That ad was completely retarded. Out of 1.31 seconds it showed 1.5 second of the car and 1.29 seconds of complete and utter stupidity. They are ruining the Range Rover look with this rounded off crap. What else do you expect for a car company owned by Tata Motors?
  12. Pfft. Didn't you read in this thread, clearly RWD = more parts and adds too much weight!!! MUCH BETTER FOR IT TO BE SUPAAA LIGHT FWD. MADDDDskiiiis!!!!! I'm a pull the transmission and diff out of my Aurion because based on that theory being No Wheel Drive I'll have the fastestest NA V6 this side of the equator. SICK!
  13. Thanks for fixing that up for me! :P You actually made my day/week/month/year!!! I though AU had the same engine. I now no longer envy their engine them when I see them on the road!!
  14. You had some typos. If you want power=>falcon XR6t or Nissan Maxima If you want cheap to run and reliability=>Aurion If you want rice=>Accord And just because an engine puts out more power that doesn't make it better.
  15. Being an Toyota Forum you will get biased opinions. If I was to sell my Aurion right now the only car on the market I would consider replacing it with would be some sort of Ford Falcon. IMO Honda is over priced junk and I personally put them in the same category as Korean made cars.
  16. both- worse on the left This thread might help out http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php/topic/24021-lowered-aurion-noise/page__st__20__gopid__458879#entry458879
  17. Sorry for the triple post but I called up to get a price from Lander Toyota Parts. $25 Each - Front Part number 4833133032 I'm thinking of buying a 2 and just giving it a go.
  18. Does the knock come from the front right or left when sitting in the drivers seat?
  19. Is this the bumper you were talking about (see attached picture)? If so then it is fairly easy to replace with the right tools. I wonder the cost.
  20. Nice work! How much was the Bump Stop? I'm looking around for a diagram of where they are on the Aurion. Does anyone know if these are easily replaced?
  21. You can go for the drive with them when you drop off the car. I've done this more than 5 times.
  22. 1. BG_Pete 2. Seby123 3. Juvenile 4. master.Cuong 5. Ben Yip 6. Hiro 7. ZR6XY 8. Clifton 9. Ronnyboy (Maybe) 10. cruzer 11. GTL05T (WOOOO) 12. RNN4MK 13. mmm_sx6 (Maybe) 14. armstrong Sorry Gents, I had to remove my self as my wife has organised something on Saturday night that I "forgot". (She didn't tell me)
  23. Nope... And to be honest I don't even know if the noise is there any more... LOL... I assume it is is still there and I have come accustom to it. Either that or it has worn back what ever was rubbing enough for it to stop.
  24. I don't mind them but in my honest opinion they look very "aussie". Do you like wheels that stand out and look different or do you like wheels that suit and almost look OEM? If I had a white Aurion I'd look at these or something siliar in shadow chrome/charcoal.
