  1. maybe if you plan on driving over 200kmph constantly. Otherwise, no. Areodynamic mods like wings and such provide next to zero functionality for street cars.
  2. Vic what are you doing???? My eyes are burning! That is one riced up Camry. It looks horrible!!!

    New FT-86

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I liked the original better. This one reminds me of another car I've seen before. Not many people know this so keep it a secret... If you peel off the Toyota Badge on the new FT-86 you get the logo below:
  5. 1. BG_Pete 2. Seby123 3. Juvenile 4. master.Cuong 5. Ben Yip 6. Hiro 7. ZR6XY 8. Clifton 9.Ronnyboy (Maybe) 10.cruzer (Maybe) 11.GTL05T (WOOOO) 12. RNN4MK 13. HT (Maybe) It has been way too long since I went to a meet. Can you please post up here where you head off somewhere to afterwards in case me or others can't make the dinner?
  6. I ****** my rim driving into the work car park. It is around 8cm and on the Chrome Lip. Picture attached. Someone is going to pay for it with blood, **** assholes make the entrance so narrow.
  7. Welcome to TOCAU. I have a very similar unit to that and it for that price I would say it is very good.
  8. I'm sure every appreciates a new face around here but you shouldn't start so many new threads asking questions that have already been answered. Try searching first... If searching with the forum doesnt work then try google.. e.g. "carbon fiber console Toyota owners club".
  9. haha, I wish people would come out west instead but I doubt many people want to travel that much. Norwest Carwash was also on my mind when this thread poped up. It would be perfect if not for how far out west it is.
  10. You should look into doing something more VIP rather than the Sporty Sportivo look! I like your thinking on the Wing!! Keep it clean. A wing serves absolutely no purpose on street cars and IMHO looks tacky on something that it isn't standard on.
  11. They look the goods but would look a lot better if you lower your Aurion. They don't look like 20"s in the photos because of the dish style you went for (My 19"s look like 18"s for the same reason.).
  12. The problem with being near any 24hr Maccas is that there will always be randoms around and you run the risk of that Maccas being turned into a MaccaNats. Usually: Bankstown + 24hr McDonalds = Hole
  13. DFO Parking @ Homebush. At the center of Sydney which is easily accessible from all directions due to its very close proximity to the Olympic Park. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=toyota&hl=en&ll=-33.857257,151.075552&spn=0.00621,0.013078&sll=-33.855956,151.074597&sspn=0.00621,0.013078&t=h&radius=0.45&z=17
  14. Welcome to the ***** hole that is Sydney.
  15. Good idea. My vote would be to go further west like Granville because anytime you go closer to the City or Bankstown your dealing with too much traffic. Having said that, I assume most of our Members are from South West. Villawood might be a hole but Greenachre isnt much better.
  16. Ok. My guess is that you managed to get slightly less power but with a lot less air flow?
  17. Hey, I missed out on this but if you guys are organizing something soon I'd be interested!

Niiicee. Going to run it down the 1/4 mile anytime soon?
  19. I know what you mean but any package you get will definitely come with ***** tires. Plus this is just up here for ****s and giggles. The asking price is never the end price.
  20. LOL. The tires alone are worth more than $1000.
  21. Nice tutorial! If I could add that you don't need to remove the bumper as I have replaced them twice with 19" wheels and lowered springs. Removing the bumped should be a last resort. If you continue to have problems then lift the car up with the jack to provide more room.
  22. I was seriously shocked that you partly removed the bumper to do this!!! Then I was even more shocked that DJKOR recommended it! You can do this without removing the bumper as I have done it twice with 245/19" Wheels on. These are the instructions I would give to anyone attempting this: -Firstly Point the wheel inwards. So if you are doing the left (while sitting in the car) point the wheels full lock the the right -Remove the screw underneath the car that holds the under guard to the wheel arch guard (photo 2 taken facing the rear). When you look at the area, you can easily figure out the screw I'm talking about and how it all goes together -Secondly, remove two of the clips holding the arch guard to the wheel arch. The lower one is a twist and turn, the upper one pops out in the centre followed by the remainder of the clip -Let the guard sit on the wheel -You can access the parkers; providing your hands and wrists aren't too large. Having a torch is quite helpful at this point in time so you can figure out where you are going to have to send your hand to -The parkers are removed by twisting them -If you continue to have problems then lift the car up with the jack to provide more room
  23. I'm in Sydney anyway so I doubt you would have wanted to make the trip :P. The wheels are still for sale but because I have new rubber on them the price has jumped. See the first Post for details.

Niiice! can't wait to see the results.
  25. I ended up finding some Federal 595SS's for $800 installed but got a deal on 2x new and 2x 80% Used Bridgestone RE050As. The RE050A is easily the best tire I have owned and driven on but I would never pay retail for them. The Aurion feels like it is on rails. Also, the tires are 245/40 and so far only scrub when turning 80% to full circle (19" with Lowered King Springs and stock shocks). The slightly thicker tire provides a sportier look to the car and fills the guard slightly more. A negative effect makes my 19" wheels which already look like 18" smaller again, this is because the inner part of my rims do not goto the end of the dish. Ride comfort over 245/35 is marginal but a difference is noted. They are also Asymmetric so if I rotate them right and take care of them I should see a more even wear.
