  1. Thanks Ozzcaddy. I think things have changed in that the police want no part of claims aslong as both cars are drivable, no one is hurt and their is no third party damage (signs, walls, cars of other people not present). I called GIO today again and the claim still has not linked up. They informed me that this was not unusual and that I should not be concerned at this point.
  2. Please post back your findings. I have had the noise you describe happen 3 times in my car but each happened while going very slow and reversing at half lock. In my case the problem can not be recreated.
  3. Thanks guys. The car is currently in the process of getting repaired.. GIO is under the firm belief that even though she thinks I am at fault that she will end up wearing all the cost because she was reversing. I have pictures of both cars and it is obvious from the pictures that she is at fault. I regret not going to the police now but when I called the local police station I was told by two officers that the police do not get involved with an accidence unless other property was damaged or a person is injured. I will contact GIO again and relay that I am concerned that she is trying to pin it on me.
  4. Anyone with GIO have experience dealing with NRMA? I am with GIO and my car was reversed into by someone with NRMA and we exchanged details. Other other driver believes it was my fault even though she had reversed into me. After the accident I contacted GIO and went through the usual details, informed them that I was not at fault and provided minimal details as to the accident. GIO has since sent a letter to the other driver telling her a claim was made and she is at fault. GIO called me yesterday regarding the time it would take to fix my car and I asked if the claims had linked up yet but they informed me that they had not. My question is, should I expect the same letter from NRMA if she has put in a claim? And, how long should it take for GIO/NRMA to link up the claims? I am worried that she is going to lie regarding the accident and delay the process and I wonder if she has even made a claim at all.
  5. Great project you have going. You said you were upgrading a Standard 2GR-FE but what is it in or what are you putting it in? 2nd Dibs on Seats if Andrew pulls out.
  6. Thanks Man. Thanks Vick. Not very hard. The wife is all ok, we had the 7 week ultrasound and it was 4.5mm long!! All the body damage should be fixed by Tuesday but they have to send the wheel away for assessment. I hope they just give me the money for the wheels as downgrading in size to make the car more family friendly and the extra cash would come in very handy right now. It is obvious that she wasn't looking where she was reversing.
  7. Steven, Was there a reason for you to replace them? As in something was noticeably wrong?
  8. Hey people. I have some good and some bad news.......... 1. I had my car reversed into (bad news) 2. My wife is pregnant (semi-planned - good news) We haven't told anyone yet as it is too early. shhhhhhhh. Basically I was reversed into at a car park. Case closed as far as I am concerned but the other driver believes it is my fault. At the end of the day I was reversed into while I was going forward. Pictures of damage below clearly show the direction of the hit and that it is near impossible for me to have hit the other car. My wife was in the car at the time as well and I was worried that the shock had induced a miscarriage but she seems fine. She is only 5 1/2 weeks preggers at the moment so we have to wait until next week to have an ultrasound to determine if there is a heart beat. On top of all this the son of the driver was threatening physical abuse at me. I wasn't really too worried as he seemed like a **** talker and never actually stepped at me when he said it. Either way I got my wife to call her lebo brother. I'm glad I didn't decide to call my brother because he would have gone agro on the douche. The damage as far as I can tell is completely cosmetic but my wheel was damaged on the inner part (see white marks on gray area) that I think is probably not possible to repair to the original state. I'd like to get peoples though on this because I really want to get paid out for the wheels. Unless I can convince my wife to buy another car I will likely swap my car with my wife's as she has a 2000 Ford Laser which I don't want here to drive while pregnant. Unfortuantely it isn't a TRD laser.
  9. Nice work Vick. Glad your happy.
  10. My condolences on your Aurion loss. I hope you or others are fine. Good luck on your new purchase. The SV6 might look tempting but just keep in mind that that Holden quality is no where near as good as Toyota.

    New FT-86

You hit the nail on the head. If I'm to spend over $40k on a sports car I want 0-100 in under 6 seconds and great handling.

    New FT-86

Yep, this car broke my heart... The version 2 style is too much bling for me. Apples and Oranges... but.... the Aurion puts down more at the wheels than the FT-86 does at the flywheel. I know I'm being a tool and I understand this car is about something else but, in 2011 0 to 100 is more important than handling.
  13. Sounds like a sweet deal.. Not cheap enough to sound dodgy but the right price.
  14. Great work Vic the tail lights look hot. Good luck finding wheels, that's always the hardest part.
  15. This description is spot on. I've seen the prototype in the flesh and it feral is exactly how I described it. I hope they can the prototype.
  16. I wen't to a market research on Aurions in Sydney and I believe we are getting the HEV model out here not the SE model for the ATX, Prodigy, Presara types and a custom body kit for the Sportivo. I saw the beta version of the Sportivo and it looks like trash, It had black plastic everywhere and looked like a bolt on cheap body kit. I hope the negative feedback was taken in. None of the pictures I have seen here are anything like what I saw. The same muffler inside a muffler is making a comeback......
  17. Ladies and Gents, I recently purchased 3 Brand new K&N Panel Air Filter KN 33-2326 and put one in my Aurion. When I got these from the US I bought 2 extra to make the shipping the worth it. They are $70 + delivery. I think delivery will be around $18 Express Post to anywhere in Australia. If you would like it my slow post for cheaper then that is fine. If you are in Sydney we could possible meet. I have been using the KN 33-2326 for about a month now. There is a noticeable tone difference but if you are looking for extra grunt then this isn't for you. The filter is washable and reusable, this will be the last filter you buy for your Aurion. The OEM Intake Filter is $30+ so buying a reusable one makes perfect sense. If you service your car more than twice a year you will have made your money back. Item: K&N Panel Air Filter - KN 33-2326 Applications: Aurion, Rav4, Rukus, Tarago Condition: Brand new unused and still in sealed box Price:$75 + Delivery
  18. Hey all, My brother isn't a member (yet) but we wanted to share his project. Toyota Corona Mark II He has stripped it bare and is in the process of working the body and removing rust. At this point I think he wants to paint it red. All the plastics, chrome and interior bits have been taken off and at this point they are all in good nick but if anyone knows of a boot from one of these then he would be greatly appreciative of any assistance as the old one is goneskies. I believe it came with a straight 6 (no idea what type) which is no longer running anymore. His plan is to get hold of a 7M-GTE halfcut as he is aware that it is a direct fit but I'm pushing him into getting a 2JZ-GTE halfcut although we are not aware yet if that is a direct fit. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.
  19. Did you check the Fuse? I'd take it to Toyota, you'd be surprised what they will diagnose for free.
  20. Lenso GT-05 19" but I'm not 100% sure if this style would suit a sportivo.
  21. I ended up getting the Eibach Camber bolts listed in the OP. The main reason is to stop the rear scrub under load but I bought both front and back to do it all at the same time. I will install my self then get an alignment.
