  1. Got new shoes over the weekend. Bridgestone RE050A. 2 x Brand new 2x 80% used for $800 fitted. I have to call it the Aurion Express now because it feels like it is on rails.
  2. Sounds like the way to go! Cheers
  3. thats a good question, one i wouldnt mind an aswer too myself. i too run 245/35 and thought maybe 245/40's might give a slightly better ride due to there being more rubber to absorb the bumps on the road. I'm keen on some feed back soon as I need to order the tires in. No one stocks Federals around my area but they are by far the cheapest "performance" tires I can find. I also have to add that I have it lowered with King Springs.
  4. Okay. I'm still rolling on stock rather than my rims due to being too lazy to get new tires. How thick can I go? the current set is 245-35-19 but I thinking of going 245-40-19. Has anyone had problems with 245-35-19 or has anyone even tried 245-45-19?
  5. The port is not hidden at all. I really recommend finding the smallest ODB device possible.
  6. Yep, it's in the cabin.
  7. I'm fairly sure that would work. I have one of these: http://www.dealextre...er-dongle-16921 It is a cheap Chinese make but does the job well. Note: the length is quiet small and it actually fits nicely and barely protrudes from the dash. Any longer and I would worry I'd knock it with my foot and possibly snap the port.
  8. Check out http://torque-bhp.com/ for Android. I use it and think it is great. the stuff I find useful: Oil, Air, Intake and Gear temperatures GPS and Sensor speed Air to fuel ratio Average Ltrs per 100 KM And I might find the 0-100 and 1/4 mile stuff fun if it didn't involve breaking the law but take the results with a grain of salt. It also has the ability to upload to a server where you can see sensor readings on google maps.
  9. Lovin your clean Caldina! I'm toying with the idea of importing one my self but I'm worried about parts. What are your plans for servicing this beast?
  10. Lovin it!!! I can't think of anything I would do to it differently.... Except maybe some sexy license plate holders. This is what Camry's should all look like.
  11. IMHO Please don't read this in a negative tone... It might seem trollish on face value but I have no intent to be one. If you are buying a run around and don't have the cash to splash for the extras that come with the Sporitivo (bodykit, seats, suspension and gadgets) then the Sportivo range isn't worth putting the extra cash down. If you want a sporty car buy a sporty car. If you think your gonna come across more money in the near future then I'd opt for a cheaper car to get by then go for what you really want when you can afford it. With the budget you set out I would buy either a Sportivo Corolla or ATX Aurion and add tasteful mods.
  12. I can confirm what DJKOR said. When a company does a credit check on you all they can see is your applications for loans/credit but if you are getting a loan with someone you have already done business with then they will look into your history and more in particular your repayments. If a bank has rejected you in the past then don't bother with them ever again without first having a sit down consult with an adviser from that bank. Also, other banks do not know if you got rejected.. they only see the application... so if you approach another bank don;t mention the rejection at all and say that it was approved but you wanted to shop around. (I'm mean no offence by this last part.. Really!) Having said all that, if a bank has rejected you then that is a sure indication that you are doing or have done something wrong and you need my need to evaluate your lifestyle choices and potentially start living within your means.
  13. Love your work! How's the ride height when moving? We definitely need a vid of the airbags working. p.s. Just my opinion but I'd lose the TRD badge. Cheapens the ride (again, IMHO)
  14. It compares as much as any Apples and/or Oranges would.
  15. I just did a quick google and every site tells me that it has 430KW at the front wheels.
  16. Could potentially be your parking brake.. I had a similar issue and the dealer just tightened the parking brake and it went away.
  17. Cheers u54mot!!! I'll try and match it closer to home.
  18. Thanks gents. Well it looks like the Federals win purely based on price. If I can find someone to fit them for $200 or less a corner then I wont sell my rims.
  19. Ladies and Gents, What are your opinions on the best 19" tyres for your Aurion. I am looking for minimal price for the most Ks but your opinions on all tyre applications is appreciated. Performance isn't a priority for me. I understand this has been asked before but I would like people fresh opinions. FYI, I am still considering selling my wheels here.
  20. They are? D= pedders quoted me $1000 :S are the camber pins necessary? They are indeed, just shop around. I don't think they are 100% necessary as there are plenty of guys around here running on lowered springs without them.
  21. Why do people continuously ask for these? Lowered King Springs are $250 for the whole new.
  22. Does anyone know of any laws regarding publishing drawings of the prime minister in a joking manner? I know it is a really weird question. But I thought id give it a shot here.
  23. Sorry to disappoint! 1. Ride is too bumpy for long drive country drives. And the wheels make it impossible to use the drive way at our farm. 2. Shoes are more expensive. I want to buy a 4wd and don't want to spend anything but the bare min on the Aurion. 3. Wife doesn't look where she is going and will scratch up the wheels that I am still in love with.
