  1. EEEKK itunes? LOL the devil. Anyway I listened to it and couldn't really hear anything abnormal.
  2. Cheers, I did want it off the dome light just for the fade effect... But I had to settle for second best.
  3. Gents, I have installed LED strips in the footwells for my Aurion and I wanted to post up and share the experience in the form of Tips a Tricks rather than a How To. Why bother with this mod? Because it looks niceIt is courteous to your passengers Because I can and I wanted to Who shouldn't do this mod? Anyone who knows nothing about anything... Including basic car electronicsMexicans and anyone who has spoken Pig Latin more than and including 10 times in their life As I understand it there are 3 main ways to do this: 1. Wire them all up to a power source and have a switch 2. Wire it to the dome light so they all come on when the Dome is on (this includes when any door is opened) which also has a nice fade effect 3. Wire them to the courtesy lights on the doors (this is the option I chose as it seemed the easiest and most functional) Things you will need: 4 Strips of LED lights with at the very least 15cm of cable attached Go for something water proof and durable. Don't cheap out. They wont be on for long but you don't want anything that will get too hot Good lighting Ironically you need good lighting to install good lighting. Egg before the Chicken? Soldering iron and wire stripper You can do without these but if you want to do it the right way you will use the right tools Electrical tape The main purpose of this is to tape shut anyone's mouth that asks why "you would bother with this mod?" or "How much KW does this add?" Multimeter This is a key object..... But.... If you wanted to test wires with the LED strip you could..... It just isn't recommended. Clean undies Cos Mum said so Attributes you will need: Ability to work on your back with your feet in the air while blood rushes to your brain - some gymnastic/contortion/pilates experience is a plus You have overcome the fear of pulling plastic interior off your car You have become used to the loud snaps and understand the risk of snapping the little plastic things that could brake in the process Understand how to unplug a car battery Have the patience to trouble shoot wires and constantly go back and forward plugging and unplugging the battery as not to **** your fuses/electronics or potentially trip a air bag Other tips: Leave the gung-ho attitude out of the garage with this mod If you want to keep your undies clean, after you have been fiddling with the batter terminals and want to start your car you should make sure the terminals are secured tightly with the bolt.... Failing to do so will cause you to believe you have ****** your wiring and you will need a change of undies Never EVER trust that red is positive and black is negative on any product you purchase from any Asian country!!! Test everything safely So the basic process goes like this: WARNING: This is a simplified overview of howto do it. You truly don't know how to do it until you have done it… The moretimes you do it the better you will be at it (arguably) but I hear if you haveproblems doing it then there is this company called AMI that can help you lastlonger and allow her to finish first. Start with a rear passenger one as it is comfortable and there is plenty of space. 1. Take the Courtesy light out of the door and note the wire colours and thickness 2. Unplug the light and test your LED. Note the + and - for the LEDstrip wires and the colours on the courtesy light 3. Rip off the plastic behind which the front seat belt goes into 4. Find the plug that plugs into the body of the car and findthe matching wires 5. Test the wires with the door open and closed with the multimeter 6. Unplug the battery 7. Splice the wires 8. Connect the LED strip keeping in mind the placement of the wires and the strip placement 9. Rinse and repeat for the other door The front are a little more difficult and require being upside down. I don't want to be an ***** but if you can't figure out which wire is which and how to safely do things under the dash then you shouldn't even be doing this mod. There for I am not providing any more details on that… plus im being lazy. I hope this helps someone.
  4. What program opens that kind of file? VLC doesnt work.
  5. On the 10th of September I paid for my re-subscription but I still have not been "resubscribed"? I have sent a PM to Steve but haven't received any love yet. What else can I do or who else can I bug?
  6. Definitely the second one out of those two. But what colour is your Aurion? You should also consider a Lexus style grill instead.
  7. Yes it is illegal. This should not have been posted in the Aurion section as it is not Aurion specific.
  8. What suburb was this in?
  9. **** ... sorry to hear man.. Hope you had them listed on insurance..
  10. Love it. But you should Represent Toyota with a badge on the back... Although I really do like the clean look.
  11. I highly doubt that is factory.... But your right, it is ugly.
  12. httttt

    Android Apps

On occasion, I have to start a market download then cancel it and start it again before it does anything.
  13. are you kidding me?180000 km seems heaps, but 300000km?!that's insane even for the first aurions made back in 2006 which are only 3 years old. 10-6 = 4?
  14. Don't get too excited.. It seems intermittent..... maybe depending on which Ad is loaded.
  15. I am gettign this aswell.. Using Chrome. Here is a detailed report. http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/&client=googlechrome&hl=en-US
  16. Hey HT , i will try to answer this without having a partfinder in front of me. What adamsy was saying is that the aurion models (atx,prodigy,sx6 and touring ) are all key start vehicles. the steering columns are slightly different. the intermediate shaft 45220-06132 is the lower shaft to the steering rack and the last digit 2 is the newer/superceeded part. the parts number referred to starting with 45250-***** is the upper part of the steering column and it differs if you have keyless or key starting systems. the keyless/smart entry has an electric steering lock and it is mounted differently. so in closing if you had the slight knock sound along with a thump feel in the steering ,more noticeable when braking or accelerating on the flat or over a driveway and you then had the int shaft replaced that should have fixed it. i drive over 20 cars a day and i have noticed the same feeling starting in klugers and some taragos too. so unless there is an issue with your rack and or rack ends or even noisey struts the shaft replacement should alleviate the original noise. i hope this helps That helps a lot!! thanks. Ok now that I understand I might be able to explain it a bit better. I had the lower 45220 shaft replaced under warranty due to knocking. But the problem is happening again but I am out of warranty, what are my chances of getting the upper 45250 done under warranty?
  17. When you turn an appliance into a weapon then that is a different story! My car, pure and simple, is an appliance. It is my daily drive and without it I couldn't get to and from work and it will probably become a family car if I manage to keep it for a few more years. It isnt a sports or race car, if isnt designed for the track or rally. It is a family car that I believe is sexy. Anyone else driving any variant of an Aurion (bar TRD) are kidding thems selves if they think otherwise...... Unless of course if they have modded it heavily for the track (waste of time IMO doing that to an Aurion).
  18. So does that mean you think the Camry Touring SE has "street cred" if you have used that in your analysis when purchasing a car??? An Aurion is a slightly glorified Camry.
  19. Thanks for the info gents. She ended up buying the ZRE. I'll have to get them to check out with a Toyota Service Dept. if that was fixed under warranty.
  20. Firstly Welcome to TOCAU. Secondly, you will probably never get a good answer to your vague question because there arnt any Aurions on here with as many Ks (Apart from Scooter who runs an Aurion Taxi). Plus, a lot of forum types would have sold their Aurion before it hit that many Ks. If your paranoid and want peace of mind I suggest you do a full engine and gear box service asap.
  21. Ladies and Gents, I am going with a friend to look at a 2007 ZRE 152 Corolla and I was just wondering if anyone could point out what I should specifically look at regarding problems or things that should have been replaced under warranty? Cheers
  22. Oh. Well that is a different story. If it was a lose wire then one would assume it would happen to both Bands.. I would just complain to your dealer and see what they say.. But I dont think you will get very far...
  23. Yes, I experience fairly poor radio performance on both AM and FM. But it doesnt bother me as I dont use the radio very often. This is due to the antenna being located in the rear view window. You can purchase amplifiers for the signal but I haven't heard of any Aurion owners doing so and I would question there effectiveness.
  24. That was so staged!!!!!! Look at how she stands and closes the door... Then fake falls on purpose. Still funny tho.
