  1. hey mate, welcome first one thing is to read through the corolla thread and see the problems with the sportivo... test driving each one would be a wise thing to do as well... they all drive different <_<
  2. ummm, its pretty bad i think, but at least the "R" is still red lol :P
  3. You can get this from any autobarn for around $90ish. When I called up the one in Auburn Sydney they didn't have any in stock but can order them in from their supplier Also this pod filter is good for those buying a TRD CAI for a facelift sportivo and don't want to remove their foglight Linky: http://www.autobarn.com.au/products/11/79/3302518 just rang autobarn and the price has rocketed to 150!!!
  4. FAR OUT... do you hit red line on every launch or something? my WORST ever was like... 9.6L/100km!!!
  5. hey guys, is there anyway to get the damn scratches off the corolla sportivo gear knob? like polishing or watever? cheers
  6. SCA has a 20% off voucher if u register online for their e-news... but again the meguiar's range prices have gone up......................................

  8. johnny lmaooo ok lets do it ! ok i'm def coming if these two guys come, i will film the drag, i guess the guy who launches quickest first wins :P, also heard from johnny u miss shifted when u dragged with him one time LOL twas funny :)
  9. dw, it'll look sick revving past the 8k i'll search the forums and see whos done it :)
  10. can u chuck the levin cluster on the sportivo w/o having to calibrate it? i think this is the only way i can change the tacho colours blue...
  11. where is 5th? pwor man, which motorway did u tear up? :P how does it handle at those speeds anyways? :P
  12. not really young lol, i posted something similar to this as well, i tend to cruise in gears most suitable for fuel efficiency. following SD recommendation to cruise in 5th at 60km/h and 6th at 79km/h i find the car struggles less even when u are cruising. i will try for a week and see what difference does it make on petrol use :) i also heard from many people however that changing to a higher gear on low speed will ruin the gearbox ONLY if u are going to accelerate to a faster speed because of engine lugging. In this case the toyota recommendation is probably best to follow for the beginners. not sure if it applies also when ur cruising? as for myself, with cold engine i shift at 3k and cruise in the lower gears to help the engine warm and at around 3.5k to 4k when the engine is warm.
  13. umm i'll go if i got money to burn lol
  14. Not most .... 1800RPM at 100km/h in 6th. thanks for poitning that out darryl :) i forgot to mention about the different revs in different number of cylinders... for 4 cylinders, at 100km/h the engine has to work harder for it to maintain that speed... kept around 3 to 3.4k there abouts... TRD aurion (correect me if i'm wrong) a 6 cyl supercharged? :D so it works less to keep constant speed. also the size of the engine got nothing to do with it (eg F1 cars have like a 1.8L engine but on 8 cyl for example, hence they can have a higher speed in the lesser rev ranges on higher gears)
  15. Omg that tacho looks SEXIIII!!!
  16. well depends..... if ur in a "clean" city, then waxing it once every 7 months would be good :) tassie is clean (compared to melbourne and sydney) so ur ok with a good FULL detail evey 6 months. wash, paint cleaner, claybar, scratch/swirl X, polish and wax :) (around 7+ hrs) <_< i just did johnniboi's bonnet and he cant believe the shine on it :D i just went over with full detail and i didnt think the clay bar caught as much contaminants as i thought... might give it a skip next waxing period :)
  17. PWOR!!! i just noticed DJKOR has 6000+ LOL... +1 for me :)
  18. yeah top gear on most cars rev around 3000 rpm... but mine is 3200 rpm on 6th :)
  19. DBA > RDA. DBA's quality is muc better then RDA. supercheap here sell slotted DBA for 300 a pair. Why not go the normal ones, save some money for better pads...
