Here's my contribution Brand: BC Coilovers - BR version Equipped to(model): ZZE123R price: 1250 + installation customer service: OK installation: bolt on cornering/handling: Definately better than the stock sussy setup. Haven't been on the track with em though ride/stiffness: good at 10 damper but scared to go past 22 as its already very hard :P pro's: price BFYB cons: none so far atm other observations: need to raise it higher :P general lifespan: no problems with them yet.

  16. depends how you drive it/how its been driven before you drove it. clutch adjustment and new oil should fix that I've had mine for a few months so i don't know its history really. Mine will not select 2nd,4th over 5000ish RPM (never needed to change that high into 5th or 6th) and wont go into 3rd gear over 3500-4000RPM. I hate it, it annoys me more than anything. What clutch do you run? Recommended gearbox oil weight? Anyway to fix this issue without a rebuild? have u got your clutch adjusted yet? I use a 75W90 with additive. my mate who has a facelift has the same problem. but he hasn't got a clutch adjustment yet.

  18. Disclaimer: Neither me or TOCAU is responsible for damage to your interior seats/recaro seats whatsoever. Do this at your own risk! Hey guys, I just thought i'd write this small and simple guide up as I haven't seen one like this in TOCAU. Recaros over time being an alcantara material will need cleaning over time due to dirt and grime. This guide will show you how to properly clean those dirty recaros and get them looking smick again ;) Anyways these are the recaros. they are SR4s. will work on any recaros except the leather ones. The things that you need for cleaning them bucket of warm water cotton cloth vacuum cleaner with the appropriate attachments Your favourite interior shampoo (i used Autoglym Interior Shampoo as i knew this will not make the colour fade) old toothbrush 3M Scotchgard (not pictured) 1) Vacuum any loose dirt from the seats, make sure you get in all those hard to reach places with the attachments 2) With the cotton towel, dampened with water, go over the entire seat and make sure all of it is soaked enough with water. don't over soak it. Just enough so the material is darker than the dried up parts. 3) With the interior shampoo, spray evenly throughout the area. for the subborn stains, agitate a bit with the damp cloth or an old toothbrush. 4) with other parts just use your hands to rub over the surface of the seats, make sure there are little bits of foam coming from the shampoo. 5) when finished lightly go over the whole seat with a damp cloth once more to remove some excess shampoo from the seat. 6) vacuum the seats again to assist with the drying of the seats and to lift the seat pile. 7) let it dry for 24 hours before putting on the 3M scotchgard. The scotchgard is optional but if you want to keep the seats cleaner longer, i recommend buying a can and use the full can (you get approximately 4 coats each can) you know your cleaning it right if some dirty water drains in the bathtub :P My Recaros werent that dirty but its always good to start from fresh :) Before After Not much difference i guess :P but u can see on the left seating facing u, there is a bit of a black stain on the left arm bolster. after cleaning it, it was gone ;) Enjoy!

  20. OMFG YES PLEASE!
  21. + if u had the money to cough up :P
  22. crap, so the only option i have for not scrubbing is to increase the rear dampers to really high to avoid the scrubbing :( bye bye ride quality...............................
  23. yeah the seats hold me in well but i feel the body roll more now :P need the dampers on a bit more higher :D
  24. was going to but the price was over the top... so i settle with these ones... found a pair from seeker motorsport though :) they want 2400 for the pair... and thats just the seat itself
  25. Hey people, question about coilovers in general. basically i've raised my car higher to accomodate the phat offset of my new wheels. i've raised it to the point where the gap between the edge of the tyre to the guard is the same all around. but when i put back the weight in the rear (seats + sparewheels and trimmings), the car sits lower than i like again. now my question is, if i take out all the weight and set the dampers high (say 15/32 clicks or more) and then put back the weight in the car, will the car sit same height as before with softer damper settings? i wanna ask before i spend my weekend taking out all the damn trimmings and finding it sits the same as before <_< thanks
