  1. $60 includes soft styrofoam wrapping for each door sill, bubble wrapped and then posted in a PostPak mailing tube.
  2. i've got one. whats the price offer? Or you could always replace it with a TRD shift knob... heaps better with no skanky chrome bling on it.
  3. Don't come with instructions, but here's a DIY install guide (Post by KT_haha: #118). I'll be in brissy from thurs this week until melb cup day. You can pick it up from Fortitude Valley. Price is $50 firm.
  4. You can either bring in to toyota and get them to replace the bulbs. price per bulb about $2 each + labour, normally they charge $90 per hour. It takes me less than 1 min to remove the center console. OR You can follow this workshop guide: Head Unit / Console Removal. After Step 10, you'll need to unscrew the back of the center console to get to the bulbs. Members have replaced the factory bulbs with T5 red LEDs.
  5. Does anyone know what kind of globes these are? The blackened globe on the right is 5mm in width - has 74 on it and some letters (HR?) that I can't make out because of the burnt glass. This is from the ashtray globe socket from the ZZE corolla sportivo. The clear globe on the middle is also 5mm in width (same size as above) - S 14V 1.4W. This is from a 97 honda civic transmission gear selector light. So far I have purchased a few replacement bulbs which glow red from ebay. They are 5mm wedge type (12V 0.8A) and can be used for the following 5mm wedge type applications: 74, 17, 18, 37, 70, 73, 79, 85, 86, 2721. The one in grey enclosure (12V ciggie lighter) is slightly smaller than the other 2. How do I take the globe out from it's grey enclosure? Or does the entire thing get replaced? I have not been able to find a replacement globe for this yet. Will bring it to DickSmiths later this evening to see if they can change it to a red bulb.
  6. FYI: I have seen Rav4, Vitz/Yaris, ZZE & ZRE Corollas with the netz badge on the grille before. Toyota cars that are bought from a NETZ dealer in Japan, will have the Netz badge on it. Toyota Japan now has 4 competing dealer networks:Toyota, Toyopet, Corolla and Netz (merged with Vista).
  7. I dont understand dude.. you want me to buy a Netz badge for you? Or are you selling a Netz badge? lol. Thought it was pretty clear, but nvm now since its sold.
  8. Is item 5 a JDM runx grille? Any chance you could get the Netz badge on it for me for a price? If so, let me know the price inclusive of shipping to Vic. cheers.
  9. Thanks for the opinions on the cf hood. I was 50/50 with the decision. I think I will be contemplating on this a little longer, as CF hood on a white car just seems to flashy and racer like. Does anyone know if the bonnet scoop of the c-one cf hood be detrimental in the air circulation/air flow in the engine bay? It might affect the natural flow of air coming through the front bumper vents and grille.
  10. I had a similar experience whereby they used fuel conditioner in the service. It took me 3 fuel fillups until the power returned to what it was before I dropped off my car to a certain dodgy daelership service center. Ran the car below 1/4 tank prior to each fillup on BP Ultimate. On another note, they may have re-tuned it so it drives differently to how it was before dropping it off. You can simply reset the ecu by disconnecting the negative terminal for about 10mins and then the drive car for atleast 300kms for the ecu to learn your driving style.
  11. Did they do an engine oil flush with the service? If so, that may have caused the clogged oil pump. Most likely than not, someone inexperienced had serviced your car. If there was an oil sludge, they would have noticed it when the first service was completed. On the other hand, the clogging may have been caused by a busted head or manifold gaskets, which in turn may have resulted in the coolant contaminating the engine oil. I say this, because you stated that they replaced the rocker cover gasket. Sludge occurs when the oil deteriorates and thickens due to the moisture/contaminants in the engine oil, thus not being able to lubricate the engine parts effectively. As for the metal in it, did they snap a bolt/screw on the rocker cover and had to drill it out? Check if any bolts/screws on the engine head have been replaced. The metal shavings from drilling the thread out of the hole may have fallen inside the engine head. OR Because of the sludge problem, the engine wasn't being properly lubricated and in effect metal was grinding on metal when the engine was in operation.
  12. Is the C-One CF hood basically the stock under bonnet skeleton frame with carbon fibre as the top outer layer bonnet? Anyone know the weight of the stock prefacelift ZZE corolla hood and the C-One carbon fibre hood?
  13. Last night, I got myself into a pickle with a broken bolt and the rest of the thread stuck flushed with the hood. Didn't really feel that I over torqued the bolt that much before it snapped. Well, today I bought myself a Sutton extractor screw set ($59) along with a small sized adjustable tap wrench ($16) to ease the frustration. Took me less than 10 mins. Just drilled, and popped in the reverse screw extractor and twisted the pos out of its hole. The stuff Busted bolt thread inside the hole of the hood. Just finished drilling a hole in it. Using the T-wrench with the screw extractor which goes in the reverse way of a normal screw. Just wind until the busted bolt comes out. Here we have it, the busted bolt. I hope my new bolts I ordered from Toyota is of better quality than the ones fitted from South Africa.
  14. AllState Performance in the East side.
  15. Forgot to mention to also inspect the brake lines, as when worn out, would result to a spongy pedal feel.
  16. Hi Neil, I came accross your website last year and have the following questions. 1. Do you have any experience in working with a FWD ZZE corolla powered by a 2zzge engine compared to a Lotus Exige RWD MR layout? 2. What is the estimated costs to having a fine tuned turbo setup for a 2zzge in a ZZE Corolla Sportivo? 3. Are your services only limited to engine work or is it extended in the handling department and other aspects of race spec tuning? - Chassis strengthening & engineering. Would like to know if your are able to achieve an optimum weight balance for a fwd ZZE corolla and then tune the suspension according to it. - Upgrading brake system. - Upgrading of exhaust system. - Undoubtedly, there will be more stress on the stock gearbox, therefore what type of gearbox will be required to match the optimum power output of the fwd 2zzge? In Simon Evan's Corolla, a Five-speed dog box was used to match the 3S-GTE engine. What gearbox and/or components was used in Mark O'Connor's Lotus Exige? Upgrading the MT gearbox from the "H" pattern to sequential would also be required.. 4. How long is the downtime for the above work? Cheers, row.
  17. This is what I have read about ceramic tint: It seems its originating from the USA. Manufacturers: Huper Optik , Formula 1, Madico, Solartint, etc. "With the advanced electronic systems in our cars with sat nav especially, it is imperative that a window film allow optimum performance at all frequencies. The advanced technology utilized in manufacturing ceramic tints provides a non-metallized, non-conductive film with maximum heat reduction, maximum ultraviolet rejection, excellent optical clarity and blockage of infrared rays."
  18. Already been mentioned by qkslr (post #13) since 31 July 2007 - 10:51 PM --- Last photo.
  19. Looks like your missing an internal metal thread that use to be in the base. I thought this dilemma was already done and dusted from your April post.
  20. You could use heavy duty superglue to fix the crack or source a second hand aerial base from the wreckers.
  21. You could try bleeding the brakes again and have yourself pump the brake pedal 3-4 times according to how firm you want the brake pedal to be. Have the brake fluid tested for moisture content (My brake specialist uses an electronic dipstick device). If it is close to 3% moisture content, it needs replacing.
