  1. US$425 would be about right. Its hard to say exactly. I have to pay internal Jap postage fees to, ie from k-loop to my contact, so that adds a bit more. She has phoned K-loop and they wont do any cheaper for group/bulk buys <_< so ill try the Rakuten place also for prices..
  2. Looks pretty similar to me, not sure how smoked they are. I also have noted that there is a holding house you can use for rakuten, the cost isnt too bad, but remember international TT fees will apply also, so the additional fees may add up in the long run. That link shows the lights at a cheaper price tho...
  3. Ok, a "guess"timate price would be around the AU$450 landed per pair. I cant say for sure till i know numbers and contact the supplier. But thats the ball park figures.
  4. Yeah i can get them i pretty sure. If we do a group buy, it will be a bit better. I have to add my Jap chicks finders fee, + Jap bank fees and internal(jap) postage, plus EMS out to us.. Normally this works out about AU$70-100 on top, without the EMS. So if we can get a few pair, this would drop each individual's additional costs. Its just that my pal in Japan works for a big VIP company, and she only does this off her own back to help me out knowing i love VIP stuff and Japan in general. So its up to her, but i can def ask. Ill wait for a few other members to see what i can do... :)
  5. Bingo! :D ZRE LED smoked and normal! I think these are the same ones we have been looking for... I suppose Nengun can order them, or i may be able to get them thru my contact...
  6. Ok, as and1 asked, a single, dual walled effort: Not baaaad. Arghhhhhhhhh!!!! :)
  7. The Corolla/Auris here is around 100kW. Dual VVT-I 1.8l. Now i assume that the 100kW is at the flywheel, not the front wheels. Im not expecting HUGE gains, but i would like around the 5% mark, so maybe 3-6kW difference. The main reason for the dyno is so i dont lose bottom end, and payt for an exhaust thats causing loss of power! So, looks like everyone is in different minds re exhaust! :) good to see different views, but it doesnt help me The dual wall single may be a go'er too .. Im really after more of a VIP look, so either the dual (dual wall) tips or the single (dual wall) may be an option... I still like the Burnt tip, but i think its heading down the JDM path a bit too far... maybe
  8. Now, now, dont make fun of Wy :D Oh god, now i have to make the choice of exhuasts, booked in for Saturday for a stainless custom jobbie. Ive narrowed it down to three choices, JDM Style Burnt titanium cannon (maybe with resonator behind it), Dual stainless 75mm tips (oval box) and DTM style (oval box). Arghhh.. Quick and bad PS efforts... oh so nasty but you get the idea... Very poor angled Burnt titanium (actual cannon is satin titanium, not polished stainless and a very short burn, no where near as long in the burn as this!) Dual stainless: Or DTM style (man im tired tonight, i just looked at the DTM pic and its way over sized! <_< ) Ill also be doing a stock exhaust power run and a "new" exhaust power run on the dyno. I dont wanna go backwards! and i like applying pressure to tradesman! ;) Looking for a bit more power while maintaining low down torque..
  9. The skirt is fitted using double sided tape and the wheel well screws and two tiny holes for screws under the rear bar. The exhaust panel is fitted with double sided tape, body clips(screw in type and push in type) and 2 brackets. Im loving it. :D
  10. Excellent, someone brought up the SMD foggies... We must all be on the same wavelength :) Has anyone tried these: H11, 18x5050 SMD (3 chip) Or these: H11, 68 x SMD: Or H11, 27x5050 (no chip #) Or H11, 102x SMD Pity these guys dont always list the size of the SMD's nor the chip# in all the stock. From past experience, the 5050's (3 chip) would be brightest, but probably more spread from the smaller ones.. Ah its good we can all agree on the SMD thing, no fighting at home... ;)
  11. Thanks all :D Cost was approx rear skirt JPY41,000 + JPY24,000 exhaust panel + Air freight JPY28,000, Ummm.. bloody expensive!! But i also had the front Modellista lip included with that freight... Worth it tho :)
  12. Heya, Well i finally got my exhaust filler panel for the Modellista rear skirt, and fitted them both today... Hers some pics... Dont mind the whopping big exhaust hole, ill fill it this week hopefully. Maybe a burnt titanium tip... Soooo... Im thinking, should i leave the exhaust panel balck, or carbon, or colour code it?... Hmmm... Not sure if the black fits in with the VIP stlying im looking for...
  13. Heya, Well i kinda just got an update today from my dealer that the Xb, "Rumion", "Scion" or "Rawkus" as it will be named here (got i hope that was the name i was told ) is being released in Australia by Toyota in a few months. I was told this while i was inquiring re the FT-86, which i tried to put a a deposit on :)... For those of you that dont know it, here 'tis I think this is the 09 model.. Modellista Kits available... ;) And we are getting it with a 2.4l TRD Linky Our model is almost the same i believe. Not sure of the exact details (well i am but not allowed to say, and ive lost the paperwork :P ), but expect 3 levels of release, ie, standard, letaher trim etc, and top model is moonroof etc.. much like the Corolla range... I know this car isnt a Corolla, but it does share the same chassis i believe, its a ZRE152N, so dont flame me for putting it up here! :) There are plenty of jap parts for these, so expect to see some nice examples within the next year.. Some love it, some hate it, but its good to see Toyota releasing new and exciting vehicles here we have missed out on..... now wheres my FT-86?!! its coming.. its coming... be patient... B)
  14. Re brake overlay. Any local signwriter/computer cut lettering dude could do that for you. Easy as. Mind you ebay may be cheaper... not sure.. Re Rims, i guess you have to work out what look your going for, JDM/track inspired, VIP, stealth etc... They should match your front and rear end too, so for me it would be dependant on a few factors... The Kappa's are nice tho.... :)
  15. Ah i see re T10's. I thought the were the longer ones. Still, getting those in the hatch lights would be a bit of a pain. I can see they would fit no prob, but the wiring is extremely short on mine and you can barely even get the 9SMD ones in. There just isnt enough room to move or angle the T10 once pluged in the bulb socket. I know there is no need for wiring, but extension of the wires would make it a c*p load easier :)
  16. Jeeebus!! 25SMD's! Yeah that would be bright!! It would be bloody hard to put 25 SMD's in the hatch headlights. They are very long, and there is bugger all room or wire length for the 9SMD as it is. If you extended the wiring, it shouldnt be too much trouble. Hopefully the sedan wiring is a little more forgiving!
  17. Ha :D i used my CrystalVision T10's as the numberplate globes too. They look pretty schmik. :) Yah i know, but everything from Japan direct is exy its just the way it is :) Depends what type. I thought the single 1 or 1.5w wide angle would be great, but they suck. I ended up going for the 9 SMD (3chip) T10's. Much better spread of light, quite happy with the results. I didnt even try my CrystalVision T10's in the parkers so sorry i cant help there.
  18. PU is fine to bend, it will re-straighten. And there is nothing wrong with PU. Although, i would personally pay extra to have it shipped flat. I would expect to pay AU$300 up for shipping tho. It really depends which company they use as to the charges, some are bloody expensive, some around 30-40% cheaper. If im really after something, i dont care what i pay for shipping, as long as i get what i want Im running the CrystalVisions as foggeis/daylights and i have the factory 4300k HID's also using 6000k super white parkers. I would like to either upgrade the HID's to 6000k, or use 4300k parkers... but i have another headlight mod in mind that might balance out the problem ;) Dont forget CrystalVisions come with a pair of 4300k halogen parkers free.
  19. US$100 isnt steep postage. thats about right if not cheap! I wouldnt complain. My modellista Front and rear skirt ended up near AU$600 fpr shipping, plus customs duty(we wont talk about that now <_< grrrrr) Crystalvisions, Im happy with mine.
  20. The same folks also offer this different front lip K-Style I prefer the first one i spied: D-Style And a rear window spoiler Although, the roof spoiler is fiberglass. I cant see much of an issue with the fiberglass in this application. Should be fine. Just make sure you use a good polyurethane to stick it down, like Sikaflex. I had my rear window spoiler on the Beemer fly off at 140kpm and i was using the best 3M tape for the application. It actually sheared the tape in half. After a fully laden truck dodged it when it went flying and i had it re-painted :) With the Sikaflex, shes all good.
  21. Ha! seems smoked foggies arnt liked by many. Im not too keen on them either, but depends what style your going for. A "stealth" look would be good, if your car is that charcoal colour. Also, is the Talon kit fibreglass or ABS or Polyuerthane? Personally i wouldnt touch fiberglass... I think that JDm front lip is quite nice, very "modellista" like, and a bloody good price. Glad to be of some help.
  22. Nice eyeliners/eyelids Billet Grill (im not that much of a fan of it, but some people may be) Smoked Foggies Front lip - Japan, Polyurethane _good price i think for poly and cheap shipping from Japan This rear skirt is ABS should match well
  23. The only possible way to make them kinda alright was to make them useful. Smoked LED reflectors
