  1. No pob man, ill have a closer estimated price once they land, so start savin!! :D
  2. Are you talking about the aussie made Adrenalin re001 or the Jap made.... Jap made are far superior. I would go for Jap made re001's again. Love em.
  3. Just confirming i should have stock of blue heat and a few red heat airbag steering emblem inlays for the ZRE within a few weeks.
  4. As not many people (or anyone) has pm'ed me re the smoked lights, Im not sure who or how many people are keen on these. Im going to order 4 pair this week. Im hoping they will all be snatched up. As the problems with starting a group buy will make it difficult to post up, im wondering if people can please PM me with their interest. Please PM me if you are serious and have the cash. Thanks Pete
  5. No one i know has done it, but i might be hooking up some of these inlays... for ZRE that is. Grazio&Co. Ill keep people posted. Im not sure you can remove the emblem without damaging the cover...
  6. Oh more trolling from Modena again... he seems to infiltrate many of my posts.. Listen, I owned and build the first 1jz powered cressida in Australia, Im well aware of power when it comes to mods. What do you expect from a NA 1.8l ZRE?? Like many others have stated, all these little mods add up to more mid range and a more enjoyable daily. Im over driving balls out torque beasts... maybe one day on the track again, but nothing wrong with some groundwork on the ZRE.. Who said the Corolla was a machine that mods well? We are all just trying to extract a little more from our dailies, you know, the ones that have been released in the last two years as opposed to 10 -15 years ago... Ive said it before, dont bother posting if you dont have anything constructive to say.
  7. I did run the car for 3 days while i waited to be able to be booked in to re-fit the torpedo. The sound was crazy loud. Almost comparable to my straight thru 3" system on my ol twin turb 1JZ Cressida in volume! Cabin noise was unbearable... O2 and ECU compensated after a while, and no error light was shown as i think i have herd other people have had to reset their ECU after exhaust mods. I seriously would have gone deaf or at least tone deaf within a month or so!!
  8. I just checked the group buy rules, and it says i have to be a member for a year! ah, ill have to PM the mod there and get some support from you guys to be able to start the group buy.
  9. Order can happen as soon as i get the cash! :) I can do separate orders, but i want to make at least 4 pair per order to make it worth my contacts effort. I dont want to annoy her with a tail light order every fortnight. I can foot the bill for a pair or two extra, i just dont want to be lumbered with them.
  10. Ok, if people are serious about the group buy, can you all make payment before I order the lights? I was thinking of charging AU$500 for each pair, and ill refund the remainder if there is any left from all the expenses. All expenses will be evenly shared among all buyers. That is my TT cost, internal Japanese mail, 10% fee for my contact, EMS mail to Aust and registered post back out to you guys. I think AU$500 will just about cover it. Do i move this to the group buys section?? :D
  11. Ratuken is a large on line shopping mall, pretty popular in Japan. If the person selling doesnt accept vias or m/c, good luck with making correct payment. Youll need to pay Jap bank fees, TT and i havent found a way to make payment to Japan Netbank yet (most use Japan netbank). Maybe commonwealth bankers can, but im not sure C/bank netbank is the same... From westpac i dont think i can.. Just settin up the Ratukan membership is a pain in the bum, then you need to see if they will ship OS, or use a forwarding company, again, more $$ involved. Good luck with that. Ill stick with my VIP chick :)
  12. That sedan and fielder look nice.. the Galue is just crazy! Looks like something from china. Weird Japanese people! :) how odd...
  13. Heya, no, those holes are in the base! they are for the 3mm LEDs. Ill continue this guide when i get a chance, im just snowed under at the mo.
  14. Thanks! Ill try to get to it tomorrow or so. Cheers ;)
  15. Nah, thats not LED, thats the "blue heat" logo, just printed :) See here for more details Prius badge thread
  16. Ill give the Toyota emblem a go in a week or so, might put it up for sale if anyone is interested...
  17. heres what it looks like with the Di-Noc applied: Ive also worked out how to get it to switch on with the smart key/dome and then stay on with parkers or Acc, then switch off with dome. So essentially, it will glow up as you walk near the car, stay on when the accessories or parkers are on, stay on and fade out as you walk away.. should look mad. Thanks to DJKOR for the confirmation of using a relay for this.
  18. Every mod that nets 5-7kW all add up. Especially when you get more mid range. Final kW figures dont really matter to me, but more pulling power thru the mid range is always an advantage. The wheels in my sig are custom VIP rims from Junction Produce. Im thinking long and hard about getting some. Looking at over $1200/rim landed
  19. Finished my Nets emblem tonight: currently running the 3mm white ultrabrights at 20mA, could have run them a bit hotter but i wasnt after a crazy bright emblem, just a nice subtle glow. And they will last longer running cooler. Now too hook it up, and work out how to wire it to the dome lights so it glows up when you walk up to the vehicle, and stays on, then turns off once you exit... anyone got any ideas on how to do this?
  20. 2.5 is ok. I was assured it would be and hes done exhausts for around 12 years or so... I did originally ask for a 2.25, but as i want it in stainless and it was a saturday, he didnt have enough material to complete it in 2.25", plus, all the JunBL fittings were 2.5", no point restricting it at each stage. I cant feel much difference with response, and the extra boot makes up for it if there is any. That big sucker of a factory resonator is quite free flowing, the only restriction was the sound. Ill dyno again if i do CAI but im not sure it would gain any more. Maybe the extra length of the CAI will bring back any lost response. Whats the normal gain from CAI?
  21. Pic of the full system (race volume!): So basically its now the same but with the factory resonator in place of the JunBL one in the pic. I dont have any decent recording or video camera. You probably would have wanted to hear it scream with the Jun resonator, its not that loud now
  22. Thanks everyone, Dwee, You torque readings are very high. Most torque numbers are just a guess/estimation generated by the software, worked from the power figures. I have seen some dynos read almost 80-100Nm more on the exact same car, different dyno. Saying that, my figures may be low, you just dont know unless the same dyno and climatic conditions are kept uniform. Glad i made the right decision re tips :)
  23. I had the exhaust completed today. We went with a custom 2.5" stainless system, and JunBL DTM rear box. Heres what we removed: After running the car with the rear muffler and rear section off, we realized that the big bomb looking thing was a giant resonator and another cat. With the cat on and tail section off, the system ran as quite as it did with the tail section on. So, i opted to remove the giant resonator... We ran the rest of the system, and put a medium JunBl resonator in its place. The result idled well, nice and throaty, deep. I took it for a test drive, and Jeeeebus, its was like a full NA race system!! sooo bloody loud, it almost shook my teeth from my jaw on decel and punching it. Tone/note was fantastic, but volume was over the top. No good, well it would be ok if thats what your after, and im not 16yrs old, so we had to change it. We put the giant sausage back in, and it shut 'er up good and proper. Still nice neat rumble at idle, and sme but quiet note at full throttle. I was finally happy :) The results: I had KPM do a power run before and after the system change. Top kW gain was around 4kW at peak, but i gained around 6-7kW mid range, and smoothed out the curve quite a bit. Not bad really. Around what i expected. Gain of around 10-12Nm of torque. Not too shabby either. Throttle response in still as sharp. Im happy with the results, and being one of the first to venture into the unknown land of ZRE full systems, it worked out well. Im happy with the look too, if i get bored of it later i can always go for double walled tips...
