  1. Ah, i seee. squirrels huh? So, does this part replace an OEM bar thats in the same place? or does it tie in the front end? I cant remember if i saw anything in its place when the rolla was on the hoist last... Cheers John.
  2. Just found this while searching around the jap sites... "Oh TRD more - for squirrels ォ Ê ° Ì - Ï Ê Ý ÞÝ ½ À ° - ¾ ¯ Ä sale TRDよりオ-リス(NZE151H・ZRE152H)用,パフォ-マンスダンパ-セットが発売! Oh from TRD - squirrel (NZE151H · ZRE152H) for ォ Ê ° Ì - Ï Ê Ý ÞÝ ½ À ° - ¾ ¯ Ä sale! ! ! 「ザラザラ」「ブルブル」といった不快な振動・騒音が解消され,乗車中の快適性が向上します。 "Gritty" "shudder" is eliminating unpleasant noise and vibration, improving comfort during the journey. ( 更新日: 2009.07.07 ) (Updated: 2009.07.07) " the pic shows "performance dampener" on the sticker... are these struts or steering dampeners? They look way to skinny for struts..
  3. Niiice Kevo, recon they are 19" on the rears and 18" on the front? Well Im not sure if this is hot myself, but some may like it, American Racing font lower lip and well, grill bit? Something different...
  4. Nice Daryl, was that the one at Northpoint?
  5. Re Pedders coil overs: If i remember correctly, John has confirmation that they are in the works, and he even had a part number for them, so hopefully a month or so away.. i think! Ive got em on my Beemer and im very happy with them. Re illuminated headlights: Alex, youll have to wait and see Whats next?: AMS eyeliners/eyelids are getting painted, ready next week for fitment, and prob full leather interior pretty soon. I just cant stand this nylon scratchy stuff, especially on the door trim. Thanks everyone for the kind words.
  6. Continued... Interior: Blue footwells: Exterior: Illuminated Nets emblem: Ill keep this updated. Big thanks to John for inspiration and making me chase Jap parts, no matter what the cost!! <_<

  8. Oh that sucks.. soo sad to see. :(
  9. I would also like to put it out there that i think VIP styling can be undertaken by a number of platforms, not just the ol typicals. Some my frown upon this, but here in AUS, we just dont get new luxury sedans at a reasonable price, and i think the luxury VIP style or inspiration can be applied to a number of other platforms. I think the Luxury styles of VIP can be subtlety applied to anything (except a commodore or falcon!! ) even a statesman may get away with it if done properly (eeewwww, i shudder at what i just said!! :o ). Look at the Aurions, Camrys etc and there is plenty of smooth style there. Torago's, hatches and small sedans can fit the bill too. I just dont think the recycling of Jap cars to AUS then claiming them as Aussie VIP is the right thing to do, and i dont think the Japs would appreciate it either.
  10. I guess they want to see Aussie style VIP cars. Thats why i havent looked to hard at the "FLex"us range, cause thats all they see over there. I know there are the traditional platforms, but thats what they see in Japan daily. Why recycle their cars that have been imported here and show them off as ours? They are simply jap VIP cars sent here, they are not Aussie VIP cars. I see that as pointless. Funny enough the examples given are indeed NOT from the typical platform you have mentioned, its a Camry as we can see. NOt to get picky but at least show people an example of what you are trying to say. Like i mentioned, we arnt allowed airbags, so the true VIP slammed look is all but impossible for most. Nor do we have (or most) have access to VIP aero parts or companies, Australia just doesnt have the market (nor enough cash). Only people with contacts and LARGE sums of money can pull it off. Im aware of the full VIP treatment, but not many else are. You have to give the VIP inspired cars a look in, cause thats what we have available here. Trust me, i was looking at opening a JP shop here, but you try telling any toffee nosed Lexus, Merc or BWM or non existent Nissan luxury range owner to VIP his car out and they will just laugh and turn the other way. VIP is a very nische market, we know that. Thats why not many people know the tru "bippu" style. Also our laws make it all but impossible. Why spend 100k or more on a VIP'er thats totally illegal and will get pulled over and defected at the drop of a hat? In Japan the law looks the other way, they are more interested in actually stopping crimes, not stopping people enjoy their cars. Dont bag out the people who are looking for VIP style, its at least a place to start, and those that are taking some initiative to do so should at least be given the chance to show their wares to the world..
  11. Chrome rims arnt all that VIP actually. Thats more DUB style. You will find plenty of BBS, black centred polished lip rims, colour coded rims and downright strange combos in VIP style. I think the American scene has tainted the true VIP look. Deeeeep dish is normally far more common than chrome in japan.
  12. Its open to any Aussie VIP'ers. I dont make the decisions re what the editor will publish, all i can do is put forward your pics and Bio's. 51DER, PM me some pics, your car is pretty near and close to VIP. Just cause its not scraping on the road and we arnt using air-bags doesnt mean its not VIP, although that wouldnt hurt :D
  13. Thanks man, ill register and see what i can dig up tonight, cuttin it fine tho. :)
  14. I have pm'ed the peeps you guys have mentioned. I just found out cut off date is 30th of this month!! so get your pics together quick guys!!
  15. Not sure if this is the best place for this thread, but i cant seem to find the few VIP style Camrys/Aurions ect that are about the place. I have a contact in Japan that looking for Aussie VIP cars/photos to be forwarded to her for publishing in VIPStyle magazine in Japan. They are looking for VIP Cars from all over the world, being one of Japans premier VIP founding companies they are interested in the VIP scene here.. If anyone is interested, can you please pm me or at least pm me a thread or two of your car so i can have a squiz and we can take it from there. Thanks VIP'ers :) ^_^
  16. I can order the red heat rear badge, but it will be hella expensive, due to TT and bank fees. If i ordered it with the steering emblems, it would have been ok, but timing was off. I can price it for you if you like?
  17. Ill have them in a few weeks. Type R? Arnt we toyota people here??
  18. Ingres, Can you please measure your steering wheel emblem? post it up here if you could, length and height.
  19. Ive got the "Blue Heat" style on the way, and a few "Red Heat" also. Not sure on size dif.. Ill check it out when i head down to Toyota next week. The pic is a red Carbon inlay. I havent ventured into that style as of yet, i might if i see a market in them. RED HEAT:
  20. All good. Cut and shut it into place. Forgot to take pics tho sorry!
  21. Well, I lie actually... Nail art is another thing Japs excel at... I got a few books from Japan for my missus. ;) Now, Juuuust in case on of our VIP'er or female friends here are interested... They are available in a range of sizes and colours: Please dont think of me differently... Im just trying to help anyone that may that way inclined. ;) Check ebay etc for them. I think that was just faar to much info for you all right?? :D
  22. Yeah i love VIP, but no soo much the bling crystal stylie :) If you were that way inclined, you can use the swarkofski (spp) crystals that you can get for chicks nails. They come in varying sizes, and the glue normally used is bloody strong. You could easily fill those gaps in the emblem with a mass of crystals.. Not that i would know anythin about custom chick nails or anything....
  23. We all know why they only take shots from the front... ;)
  24. I managed to score some semi slicks for my old Cressida, man, what a dream drive they made. Now thats what i call steering!!! Nothing compares does it? :D :D
  25. I found the 001's to have much more grip once hot. "Cool" they were not outstanding. Once hot, they kick *****. I havent had a problem in the wet with them.. mind you , thats on my FR Beemer, not FF so things could be different. Re aussie Vs jap, I spoke to a guy who was making these in Adelaide here at Bridgestone. He said the compound was different, but the main factor he pointed out was in japan the 001's are cured for 6-9 months if not longer, in big, temp controlled rooms. He said this was integral to the formation of a "better" tire and a superior compound. I ran 001's back in 2000, straight from japan, they weren't released here then i dont think. Fell in love with them back then. I could be wrong but i stick with what i know.. :P
