  1. Yep Genuine, should be AU$100 landed from Japan, I got mine off ebay. They look better than i thought too :) Re garnish, i ran out of time, its on tomorrows list :P Thanks DonDiva, glad you like it!!
  2. Ahhh ZRE heaven!! That first white one in question must be riding on 19's or more.. sweet. i didnt realize the ZRE guards were so large until i put on the 18's..they are tiny!
  3. 1974 Mazda Capella, 4 door purchased for around AU$2,500 (not mine but identical) Ripped out the 1600cc, threw in 2000cc, did a heap of sus work, 16" (back then these wheels were huge!!)re-sprayed it and did pleeeenty of burnouts and standstills What a great car. Bulletproof! Almost bought another one a few months ago... great body lines and aggressive looks for such an old car. Loved it! The dude i sold it too wrote it off a week after he took it, i was not happy...
  4. Thanks Kenneth, do you mean on the camera's settings? Seems to only be above around 6000k it seems to blue out. Im thinking those parkers are about 6500 maybe 7000k. The 5500k grill lights seem not too far off.. Thanks Jtron :) Edit: just noticed the light leaks around the eyelids (between the headlights and the center grill), neat look actually, totally accidental but i like :D
  5. Thought i would share this here just in case peeps dont see it in the members ride section. Today i made up and installed these SMD lower grill lights. They turned out well, hooked em up to the foggies. I think they would be around the 5500k mark. BTW, these point down not out. No glare off these babies.
  6. Did a little more work on the ZR today. Made up and installed some SMD lower grill lights. They turned out well, hooked em up to the foggies. I think they would be around the 5500k mark. Also ran the wiring for the illuminated emblem, think ill install that tomorrow. BTW, these point down not out. No glare off these babies. Oh, also installed my Toyota Premium horn set. Wow those are loud!! Looks like the "no-flash" setting on the SLR captures a bit more blue, i didnt adjust the pics, so the parkers look far more blue than they really are....
  7. Looking awesome with the front garnish back on... your as bad as me when it comes to changing your mind! granted, i havent changed my wheel colour 4 or 5 times but still :) good thing we arnt into handbags! Would be more costly than Toyota parts! Just yesterday i was debating if i should put my modellista garnish on or not... Might put it on today and see how it looks.. You happy with the TRD front lip now?
  8. All of them blown at once? I doubt that. Check the head units ground wires first.
  9. Excellent, the red heat looks neat! Nice first pic too. :) Love the TRD logo on the wheel!
  10. I would say that the surround is covered with 3M Ni-Doc carbon look film. Check ebay for some, or try Metrodecals.com in the US. Easy stuff to work with, looks good. Ive also been looking at at a proper carbon film from Japan... Ill keep you posted on that, but its hella expensive. The carbon bits on the botton of page 22 are the real deal. Most likely custom job.
  11. Looking at some RS -Best also. If pedders dont pull their fingers out soon, im going with the RSR-Best set up. Sick of waiting for pedders to get their act together.
  12. Well i got stuffed around again today. Rocked up after talking to a numbskull last night in service, he asked me to come in this morning to straighten the air cond vents (i only told them this cause if its warped or cracks then they will be replacing this also, trying to save them money and save myself time). Anyhoo, turned up, no numbskull there, the others didnt give a sh*t and told me not to worry about it and they just looked at it, poked it, and said they will fix it when the upper dash piece arrives. So i drive 25 min to just be turned around and told not to worry about it. Oh im really getting angry now... Northpoint is the hole. Sales at Northpoint are good guys, the service department is a f*ckin joke. I cant believe the way they treat me and the garb they try to get away with. 3 thumbs down. Dip Sh*ts incorporated.
  13. Well as i thought, they replaced it with the same sh*t unit. Funny enough, as i was leaving another lady came in with BT issues/problem with the facelift head unit. Me thinks there is some issues that have to be fixed soon.... Oh, and the "best" installer scratched my dash, and didnt put the air outlet back on straight, well forced it into place.. Nice work for the "top" installer there. Now i have to go back and get it straightened or im afraid it will snap where it is bent. What a F*#kn joke. They have to replace that dash cover now... I wont be going back there after they fix this. We should have a name and shame stealer/service thread.
  14. Niiice, I wish i had some ZRE heads over here is SA! Im all awone, all awone.. :(
  15. Oh thats sweet.. Ill try to track down those others i mentioned for you today..
  16. What colour is it? Most metallic can be matched well, but you will generally always see (to the fine eye) a slight difference (most common people wont notice). Thickness and angle of application are quite unforgiving for mica's. Most times good paint shops will recommend you respray the whole or part side for exact match and no eye trickery. $230 is on the cheap end, 600 is too much, so if there was one in between and your happy with that, i would opt for the middle ground. Be sure they use top quality paints and offer warranty on their work. But yeah, give it a touch up and see how you go. I would be supprised if a touch up is good enough for you tho. It wouldnt be for me <_<
  17. Thanks guys, I managed to score a pair of Endless SSM low dust 0-530*C, 0.3-0.4 μ for a great price from YahooJapan. Now these are specifically made for low dust. So i guess we shall see how they go, slightly lower μ tho..
  18. From what i can work out only the front is available. I think Modellista even released a front pair to, perhaps John can confirm that but i swear i saw a yellow air dam instead of red like the GE1's. Ive only ever seen Front for the ZRE I think the rears are more so for vans or wagons maybe...
  19. So "low or minimal dust" means more dust than OEM brakes then looking toward the SSS or even the SSY but il look at the Dixcel M range too.. Oh the choices...
  20. Work NT09 Euroline 18x8 et38, Yokohama S-Drive 225/40. No scrub above pic with 25-30mm photoshop drop.
  21. Yeah i think its the orange one like yours John, I know that other unit with the screen was released with the "Edge" model, and i think it may have been an upgrade at the time....no, its not, Im pretty sure thats the Edge head unit. If i remember its now in the facelift, is that correct anyone? Still waiting to hear back from the stealer. I gave my contact a little nudge the other day re pushing for the new unit. See how it goes but im not holding my breath..
  22. :P Yeeeaah i know, i forgot the tire shine ;) I might do another PS version of that pic, the guard chop was hasty and no where neat enough...
