  1. Nah man, supply only will be around 1600. Each store will try a different fitment price tho.
  2. My last pair for the beemer (same setup as the zre) was $1600 + 200 install, maybe it was 300 with alignment.
  3. Kick ***** im heading down tomorrow to do the same!! bout bloody time <_<
  4. Nice rim choice, suits well. Smoked tails look the biz too!
  5. Ha, no competition, consider us "Brothers in arms"
  6. Thanks peeps! B) Yeah im pretty happy with the GPS, great for the price. The blade hazard switch also neatens up the console really well. More interior goodies to come soon....
  7. Anyone used Dynamat "Superlight"? How does it perform compared to "Extreme"? if i could lose a few kilo on the install, that would be great, but is it as good? EDIT AGAIN: Ooops, ill answer my own question, "Superlight" has 20% less effect than "Extreme"
  8. Thanks for the info Pete. Very interested... Site says AU$339rrp, you got it for AU$225? Ill have to hunt around Adelaide for it.. Hmmmmmm EDIT, ahhh found it on ebay, from Vic, AU203+25 post. Sounds good to me!
  9. Yep, USB slot and extension cable out the back of the unit, easily reaches to the lower glove box. Ipod doobie as well. RCA in/outs too, see pic of rear of the unit: Hope that helps. GPS nav seems reasonably good, iGO v8, last update aug 09. Menu's arnt too bad (GPS menus are great). I haven't found too much in the way of cracked/hacked maps, ive found one site but haven't really looked into it, think that had Polnav software.. Im sure there are plenty out there. Thats another thing i like about this "open" unit, the ability to use many types of GPS software. Got steering wheel buttons assigned today. Pretty easy once i worked it out. If anyone cant work it out PM me. So, for a budget GPS unit, i think its pretty good. Its not perfect, but for 1/6th of the price of the Toyota unit, i can easily put up with a few glitches here and there. Sound quality is 'bout the same as the OEM one, Im sure the RCA outs would yield better quality. I haven't managed to get any digital TV signal yet tho, i opted for the DVT tuner. The tiny aerial needs to be up on the dash somewhere maybe... its currently jammed under the dash. + OH YEAH, REMEMBER TO EJECT ALL YOUR CDs FROM YOUR OEM HU BEFORE REMOVING IT NOW I HAVE TO FIND THE PIN OUT AND POWER IT UP TO GET THEM ALL OUT!! :(
  10. Also looking at the TRC rear spoiler too.. just trying to make up my mind... cant hurt to have both to see which one i like better! Both pretty slick. Down side is ill have to get an Accent third brake light or make up a custom third brake using smds as both the TTE and TRC dont have one... I like a challenge anyways.
  11. Sure, you can use the battery to test, they run on 12v so thats no probelm. If they dont light up just change the polarity. I tested em before i sent them off to you. Yeah man, thin gauge speaker wire is fine, no need to get anything fancy. Sorry for the late reply. Have fun!
  12. Bigger pic: So looks like i may have to actually input the values for the steering buttons... Ill check it out in the morn, its freezing outside tonight! Thanks
  13. Pretty sexy huh? Ended up getting the sedan one i got on ebay swapped (luckily he hadnt sent it yet). Seller was Auotland. Much the same price as the one in the link you put up. Thats the one i reffed to get him to swap over. He did forget to include the DBTV antenna tho, ive emailed him about it. Also, for normal TV, there is a small antenna, i have no where to put it and ive just got it under the dash for now, but its not picking up signal. I would just get it from the place you linked. Re fittment, easy as. Remove silver console edges, pull out the air cond outlet, unscrew the HU, unscrew the brackets off the factory HU, screw em on to the GPS unit, clip in your plugs/harness, GPS and TV antenna, run the USB down the passenger side and into the lower glovebox. I double sided the GPS antenna under the top of my ZR air condish outlet, the one in the center of the dash. It fits nicely between the two top outlets toward the front of the car. Seems fine there. Alll goood so far :)
  14. Mine arrived today and fitted it this arvo. Perfect fit. This is Toyota "AURIS" unit #QL-ARS728 not the Corolla sedan unit. Seems quite good so far. Comes with IGo GPS software but can take TomTom,PolNav and others. Any one know how to get the steering wheel buttons to enter in the setup? Ive found the steering wheel set up, and the buttons are showing the input voltage, just cant lock them in...
  15. Blade black Hazard switch installed and GPS fitted. Yay! TTE rear spoiler arrived yesterday too!
  16. Awesome. My mate just picked up a 2JZ 300+kW mz, goes hard! :) Bring on the 1J conversion when you can!!
  17. Heya John. Nope, my mirror buttoms dont light up either :( TRC and headlight washer does.
  18. This weeks new additions: Blade Black Hazard switch: (shall install when my GPS HU gets here) Blitz Full Auto Pro Throttle Controller: and Blitz TC Scramble button: My view of them both: I like the throttle controller. I know some haters are out there, but i think its great to be able to dial in your required throttle response. Eco 3 is soo slight and slow... Sports 3 is flat out massive quick response, and mild 3-4 is nice chirpy for day to day. Auto 1&2 should use the fuzzy logic to work out a custom response curve.
  19. Sorry not sure, I have a ZRE152. Maybe check the ZZE122 Service manual here. Or try a quick post in the Corolla forum
  20. Excellent :) I had a quick search thru the post, what spring rates are you running and whats the ride like?
  21. All the best!! please show us the results when your done! :)
  22. Ahh spewing! your poor guy! Any chance of returning it? Ok, heres what i would do. Get another ZRE hatch fascia, or use the factory one. Have a good look where you can cut the aftermarket fascia. Obviously it has to be removed from the front of the HU. Remove all buttons etc.. You need to splice the two together. I would be looking to cut it around this location: Essentially you will have to take measurements exactly how high the total height and center the unit. You want to use the factory frame, and insert the aftermarket face into it, while maintaining correct height.. Then cut the OEM fascia, cut the edges off the aftermarket one, and the top or bottom (whatever seem to bee too big/tall)file and trim to get the aftermarket fascia to fit in perfectly and square. Trial fit it in the dash. remove it when you happy with it. join them together using ABS plastic glue (i think the fascia would be ABS, if not you need to know what plastic it is and use the according glue) allow to dry completely. Hopefully your well skilled with tools and cutting implements! Then fill remaining gaps with epoxy or body filler (i think epoxy isnt the best on ABS, just check first) Sand to suit. Prime. Sand again with 800 grit. Match paint to the rest pf the console and paint. Screw back on to the HU. Install. Man, i hopw you are really handy, or this will be a pain in the a*ss project. also hope the painter can match the console colour too! Shhhheeeeet, hope that helps!
  23. You can get a new LED relay to replace your standard relay, or you can also get 'load' resistors for the LED turn signals which will show a higher resistance and allow the standard relay to operate at the normal speed. Check ebay for them... Hope that helps
  24. Check link above, Price is AU$445 + insurance + registered post. (post and insurance is around AU$32 for eastern states, more for WA)
