  1. OOh interesting! Dyno results inc exhaust and stock How difficult was the setup to make? custom exhaust manifold i gather... can you share any info? cheers
  2. Well, i was getting sick of having to hit the map button every boot up to get to the map screen. I asked around at a few tech sites how to boot straight to map instead of nav menu, tried all matter of things then eventually found this: Start iGo8 with map "This works just fine - I use it: data.zip\ui_igo8\common\ui (see attachment), replace the start.ui file after opening the zip. Only works with the default Igo skin and no others though. ==> reported to work with Kikker skin " - by chas521, ********.com Works a treat!! start.ui.zip
  3. Hooking up a Galaxy S on monday, far superior to the nokia garb thats out now. In most reviews, the galaxy is on par if not slightly better than the iphone4. They both share the same 1 gig samsung processor, but the galaxy has far superior graphix processors, brighter screen and view angle.. Only real downside to the galaxy is no flash on the camera. Pfff, i dont take many night shots. Ive been really disappointed with nokias lately, too glitchy, too slow and behind the 8 ball now. My N96 was utter crap.
  4. Welcome, good to have another South Aussie :)
  5. That might have been the first series of the Pedders coilovers. The new series has be totally redesigned and are far superior. Also, they are re-buildable so i cant see why you should replace them. Pedders also offer a decent warranty, i think its two years full replacement. The Extreme XA (new series) are far better than the older ones internally and structurally. Every coil over will leak and **** themselves over time, thats what happens when they wear out.
  6. I can order a few more pair if people are interested. Cost will be around AU$145 delivered Platinum Express.
  7. Cheers people, its slowly all coming together. Yeah the headlight reflection is far less blue in real life, its more like a light aqua white blue. The parkers are a tad more blue (about 500k more), but i think i still have to colour correct the camera. Mind you, the 4,300k foggies are pretty much spot on. Weird, cause the shot taken from inside is pretty much colour correct. Maybe its my Sony a550. I still havent even read the manual yet, so i doubt im anywhere near getting good shots from it. <_< The Garax globes are direct replacement for the Phillips D4S globes. Couldnt be more simple to install, seriously took 5 min to do both sides! They do 6000k, 8000k, 10,000k and 12000k. Each globe above 6000k drops intensity/output each time you jump up the kelvin scale. Very happy with the 6000k output, pitty i dont have my light meter anymore, need to chase that up.
  8. Thanks B) Always something more to do Tail light mod soon, then maybe slowly start on the interior. Oh, Pedders coil overs at the end of the month too. Oh, and TTE or TRC rear spoiler...
  9. Few new shots with Garax 6000k HID replacement globes: and a closeup of my DIY illuminated emblem:
  10. Some pics: (pic above you can see in the left lower corner where the 4300k foggy is cut by the 6000k low beam) Last one: Sorry for the blurry drivers shot :)
  11. Results are in. Garax 6000k are a very nice globe, and obviously work Far better visibility than the standard 4300k units. Very clean, crisp pure white with the faintest blue hue on the cut off line. Install took no longer than 5 min for the pair, after disconnecting the battery. Easy access even with the water bottle neck in the way on the drivers side. I cant see these 6000k globes causing any unwanted attention from the boys in blue. Win!
  12. Im also thinking the problem is the amount of turbulence the different pod initiates. Was reading on a few engine conversion when changing the inlet length and angles, turbulence can cause MAF errors, some people have opted for honeycomb or straw "flow correctors/ straighteners" causing straight airflow. This seems to have helped in the majority of cases. But if everything is working ok now, be happy! Still no errors for me! :)
  13. Sorry Hankook, Elvis has left the building. Check you pm's. :)
  14. Do you guys think it could be a 4-5stud conversion spacer? Im thinking maybe/maybe not, cause you would loose another 15mm of offset using one. Not sure how much swimming room there is on the Yari. Or a hub swap obviously.
  15. Pretty sure he is still doing them, just search the members list and pm him.
  16. Doesnt that black Yaris have a Subaru badge on the front?? :o
  17. No, I dont see whats happening. I actually put forward a number of different models, each one nothing like the original model to show variation of the current VIP scene. It was neither my intention to show other people the same model, what i like or prefer, just whats going on in the VIP scene. So you dont like Yari, great. I also commented on the model that Kenneth liked.
  18. Heres a few example of current VIP styling.. neither black or that luxurious, yet all are feature cars in VIPStyle this month. Tomatoes = Tomaaatoes. I guess times and styles change. VIP has always been about pushing the edge. Thats a nice example Kenneth, i would be happy with that! (im wondering if my doof comment ruffled a few feathers? )
  19. Easy fix for that, keep all the stock parts and replace them when it comes time to sell!
  20. Thanks! Check my members ride thread :) need to take some new shots soon.
  21. 17's are weeny on a ZRE B) Depending on what look your heading for, ie JDM, Luxury, Bling etc.. rim size is very important (as is the size of your wallet). JDM can get away with smaller diameter, luxury needs to be at least 18 to 19" You could easily fit 20's in there i recon. Mine are 18's and still swimming in the guards! There are a few threads on ZRE wheels too, check the wheel and tire sub-forum for some ZRE fittment. Good luck and enjoy your modding journey!
  22. I think everyone missed the topic title "VIP styled" not "VIP". The is a difference people! "dumped only a few mm off the ground with huge rims, super low profile tires" - this example meets all your categories except not being a sedan. Mind you, people movers arnt true VIP either, just VIP styled. K cars, mini vans, compacts etc are all "VIP inspired or styled". Only traditional platforms, euro's and top end modern counterparts are really allowed to be true "VIP"- so i have had hammered into me the last few months after following VIP for like 10yrs. But really, the right luxury look, correct stance/wheel fitment brings them all under the same banner in my books. Its just there are so many niches these days.. just like a million ways of calling different doof music not doof. Oh no, its psy or trance or whatever.. same doof, different category Has anyone noticed the perfect wheel fitment/stance shown on this vehicle? its as good as you will get :D
  23. I have the most awkward hands and they seem to have a mind of their own somtimes. Its not that bloody hard to do, honestly. No need to remove the from bar to change foggies, simple access them from underneath like it tells yo in the manual.
