  1. Yep! I was thinking of sending my medical bill to Toyota, lol. Seriously, who ever designed the way you change the parkers should have to change 100 Aurion parker lights as a punishment!
  2. Damn. I thought it would but I guess I should definitely get a second professional opinion. We don't have NRMA in Vic. Quick google search and I don't think RACV does that.
  3. On my 07, the whole head was replaced at no charge what so ever, transmission computer and a whole list of other goodies that would have cost hundreds of thousands if I never paid the $1300 for the extended warranty.
  4. This sounds more like the insurance type of warranty. Worst one out there. The only type of warranty if you want to go extended is Toyota Extra Care Extended Factory Warranty, it's pretty much your original new car 3 year warranty extended for another 3 years. Best thing ever. I saved a sh*t load of money with this.
  5. As topic says, I need new alternator and found one from wrecking yard. Car is the newest looking version aurion zr6 2012. Car got into an accident and was a write off at only 4000km. Guy's selling alternator much cheaper than what toyota parts want ($1000 ouch!) So would that alternator be compatible with my 07? Thanks :).
  6. So I've been hella quiet on this forum lately. Most likely because of work commitments. It's just been flat out stressful times. So much has been happening that literally I have not washed or gave my car a vacuum whole of winter (literally) plus the fact that the weather is **** with all the cold, mud and rain. Also she's been giving me some grief mechanically :(. There's been a chirping noise coming from the engine for two months now and I just couldn't pin point to the source of the problem. Googling the problem showed up alternator but every mechanic I took it to said it can't be. Took it to ultratune and they put in a new drive belt and replaced the idler pulley. Came home and that night needed to go shopping so I started the car and off I went, after about 5 minutes the same noise came back! There goes $240. So I took it back next day and was told it would be the belt tensioner. This time I decided to tackle that myself at home(with the help of a pro mechanic of course. Only took him like 2-3 hours, my job was to hold the torch and bring the drinks/snacks as he is doing it as a favour for me. : Ending up removing the A/C assy, alternator, fan, left wheel and cables to remove this *****. Such a crap job. But at least a brand spanking new part was installed. By the way, Toyota original belt and tensioner set me back $400 from Toyota parts: AFTER all that, the noise is still there. So the noise is coming from the alternator. Called Toyota, they want $1000. Get lost!! I'll keep haggling and find a genuine one cheaper. No regret though changing the tensioner and belt, it needed to be done so at least that's out of the way :) Also, I decided to install new parkers and new lights inside the car. All lights, reverse, parkers, map, dome, number plate lights are now LED and changed the head lights(H11's) to phillips Xtreme vision 100 :). Just FYI, who ever thought about the way we change the parkers on the Aurion. I'm sending you my medical bill! Hands got scratched all over. Such a crap way of changing them. So that's about it for now. I still love her and look after her like the very first day I got her :).
  7. I actually just purchased from this guy, they all seem to be the real deal and has a shop too if you look at his other listings. I've been in contact with him past few days asking questions about lighting for the aurion. So far I've changed my head lights to Phillips ultra vision and purchased LED parkers from him. Still waiting on parkers to arrive though. Only posted just yesterday.

What if I sell my Aurion for a GS350 F Sports?

  9. Edit: so I asked a mate why pedders would have done this he said that the front could be higher because something sits lower towards the front so for height clearance they raised the front more?I would have called pedders but obviously their closed over the w/e
  10. So I finally decided to measure the height of the car on each side. The backs sit (from how I measured) 60mm and fronts 90mm. There is a 20mm difference. When you visually look you can even see the back bogged down much more than front. I want to get the ride height even tbh. Would this be the best option? I'm thinking of lifting rears and fronts to 80mm or 70mm. So really, is it best to keep all coilovers equal height or different? Thoughts
  11. Lol, wheel whore. But as he said, how much? Hahaha! They're nice rims though man.
  12. How much you want? :p
  13. I bought my extended warranty from the same dealer as above. Best purchase ever. I saved a bucket load of money in repairs that would have cost thousands if I didn't get the toyota extended care warranty. That warranty is no different than the first three year new car warranty.
  14. Just noticed you finally have a rice thread. Good stuff man. Would be cool to see your car in person. Good way to compare cars considering their both also the same colour :)
  15. No clue but how about you call toyota aus or a toyota dealer from here and get the part number or even just email.
  16. they look alright. Love the colour. But I won't go 19. When it comes to change tyres I'l cringe at the price. 18's will be perfect for me :). But yeah, at that price I'm sure they're not that good especially when you consider that postage is free so imagine how cheap they really are :/
  17. LOL @ that stuffed toy fix! I was always wondering why I had a parcel shelf rattle, since I carpeted my parcel shelf it sits in tight and shouldn't have any rattle. Just before I played around and found out why. Thank god it was the worlds easiest fix: Check this out haha: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymOp3i4YR_g&feature=youtu.be
  18. So what do we think of these? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271191248734?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  19. damn, it was so awesome seeing you transform your ride over the time as a member on TOCAU... Was even good to see it in person few times and at least got to say hi to ya that night! Nice choice of new car though man, gonna miss this one though.
  20. Really? No need for cutting mate... She should be fine.
  21. Nice stuff man, those rims look the part with the colour of the car.
  22. No clue where you can get it but that's news to me. Never knew about this feature.
  23. any pics with the new coilovers??? Hey mate, I've took a few but I mean since I've went legal ride height you can't tell much difference in pics but put another Aurion stock side by side you definitely would . Just need to upgrade my stock rims and that'll really set things off. Will try to find a decent photo op and take better pics though :)
