Cruise Control can be really useful, especially for the long drives like sydney to melbourne. The good thing about the cruise control exceeding the speed limit when your going down hill is that it will allow you to break and not fall asleep on the wheel. I have noticed that with the gen 5.5 Camry, when u go down hill, it goes over the limit, but goes back to the normal speed once your on a straight road. I wouldnt really pay much attention to it. Keep it mind that even though your using cruise control, you still have to look at the speedomitor and obviously the road.
Whenever doing wheel allignments (or anything related to tyres, other then rotations), always take the car to a well known Tyre service Centre, Such as Bridgestone Tyre Centre, Bobjane, Beaurepairs, Jax quickfit, Goodyear, etc...
I usually take mine every 6 months/7500 km for the mid service along with major 15000 km service. You should be fine with the normal 15000km/12 months service. Im just a bit picky, that all.
As someone said earlier, your best option would be paint the calipers rather then putting these on. Andrew painted his Calipers and they look great... :) You obviously want the Brembo brand for looks, so different story.......
Oh yeah, missed that. Missed half of the sentence aswell. What you said is absolutely correct so OP should be happy. :) (If Jack Leaver and Wheel Nut Spanner came with the car that is)
There two new Petrols that i havent heard of in that article.
Premium 100 and E85...
E85 = 85% Ethernol. That would make the car fly :P
Premium 100 would be good if it didnt have ethernol
but you are not saving at all. the last time i checked the E10 was only 2c cheaper than the reg unleaded!!! how laughable. apparently ppl used E10 was because it's more environmentally friendly. what make me laugh the most is ppl talk about saving when they are still using petrol car where they should be on lpg or diesel. you save half the bill straight off. Yeah you dont save much by using E10, maybe $2 for a 50L tank... Went to Service station earlier to pump up the wheels and here are the fuel prices, (approx) E10 - 124.9 95 - 128.9 98 - 133.9 What on earth happen to 91 :( .... Oh well i use 98 anyway so it doesnt matter :)
Seriously per tank its like an extra $5-8 to put 95 or premium depending on prices. Why bother with the ethanol? I agree with you mate. But people now days want to save as much as they possibly can. Im sticking to my 98 Octane :)
Hi everyone
Not sure if these have been posted previously but might come in handy.
I found these links on youtube showing how to Remove the Door Panals and install Speakers/tweeters on a Gen 5 Camry.
EDIT : Also, instructions on Removing Front and Rear Bumper
4. Removing Front / Rear Bumper and Spoiler
Yeah Mate, I would take it ASAP before they make up some lame excuse. The only thing you should get from K-Mart is pressies for the in laws, Not Tyres for your pride and Joy. :) But anyway, Goodyear's were awsome tyres while they were made onshore, not really sure about now.
Id take it back to Kmart and get it checked. If they say nothing is wrong then could be because you have cheap line tyres. I recall this happening on the corolla when i put 18 Inch wheels. I had to get Centre (Rings)Caps for the front wheels and "On Car Balance" done which kinda fixed the vibration.
WOW, thats a big difference. While i was at the dealer about 2 months ago, i recall overhearing a service advisor advising a Customer that the life of the filters may vary and may need to be changed after 30,000 km. Not sure if that is correct or not but its just seems a bit too soon
Further more to the above you may have a look at this link www.c****rvice.com.au/car-service-servicing-guide.aspx Please Note: Replace the stars *** with the missing letters of car service :)
I usually put Vortex 98. BP Ultimate aswell sometimes (depending when i need to fill up) You can definetely mix fuel theres no doubt about that. Petrol is petrol. I dont know much about E10 though as i have never used it. If you have an extra $10 and your car is your pride and joy, then fill up with 98 Octane :) It comes down to your personal choice really. Each to their own.
The Price Varies from dealer to dealer. A similar post was posted with a similar question a while back. Feel free to have a look at the below link. TowBar For Aurion
