  1. You don't enjoy driving, do you?????? You probably drive like a PUSSY!!! ← Congratulations you are a w@nker. Keep it on the track dipsh!t
  2. True, this is the last year my car is getting serviced at Toyota, once it's out of Warranty it goes straight to my regular mechanic - who works in front of me in my Garage. He actually specialises in Injector Cleaning and also states (depending on make and model) Injectors only need cleaning every 70,000 to 100,000 km's. I refuse it every time Toyota states it needs to be done.
  3. Are you going to F1 in Nunawading ?
  4. :D Duh Sorry I'm a bit slow :P I still like the old "Corolla by name not by nature" slogan, even though it's very w@nky. Then again how about "This isn't Nanna's Corolla"
  5. What do you guys do with insurance for these track days? does your normal policy cover you for anything that happens on track ? Or do you get insurance on the day ?
  6. Lift happens above 6000 rpm. You can use it on every gearshift. However if your car is brand spanking new, avoid using it during the first 1000km, also the engine wont go into lift if the engine is cold.
  7. Where did the donor Matrix come from?, it looked to be in 1 piece, Insurance Job?, what's he going to do with that now ? Also notice how that was the early version of the 1zz-fe motor with the Aluminium Intake plenum and square throttle body, that's since been replaced with the lightweight plastic intake plenum and regular round throttle body.
  8. You going from burning rice to frying rear tyres :) Who said smoking is bad for you
  9. It's got a prettly long hood, it should go, height may be an issue.
  10. As far as I know, all the above are good, but what's most important is you choose a good tuner to program it. You can purchase the best ECU on the market, but it wont perform if it's not tuned correctly.
  11. Sorry but this KE35 Corolla wins without doubt, better luck next time :)
  12. :o An AE86 with a 2L 3sge BEAM engine, what a flyer that must be!
  13. Sorry didn't make it, had the best of intentions to be there. I was Jetskiing, flipped it, once it was righted, it didn't start up again leaving me stranded for a while :(
  14. Yeah if it's the 4A-FE ( Carb ) or 4A-GE ( Injected ) I think the timing belt does need changing at 100,000. It should state it in the manual.
  15. Been told this is a good, simple little mod to do. Nice to hear you've got good results Danz. In fact you must have the nicest Rolla's around ;)
  16. On the Automatic models the engine revs should sit at 2000rpm when cruising at 100km/h in overdrive (4th). The car should be able to maintain and increase speed from these Revs with no problem. Sounds like the Exhaust you've chosen is too free flowing and isn't giving the engine the minimum amount of back pressure it needs. Therefore, your engine is lacking the torque needed to maintain speed in overdrive. You would have to put in a resonator between your Catalytic Converter and the rear muffler to increase your back pressure. Speak to the people who put the system in and ask their opinion. Good Luck.
  17. Where did you mount your switch? I thought it would mount next to the security light and coin coin holder on the right of the steering column?
  18. Yeah talking about the avatar
  19. It shouldn't have any effect on oil pressure, the only difference is the engine oil will stay cleaner for longer with the larger capacity filter - because there's a larger filtration area. The 2ZZ-GE is under more stress than 1ZZ-FE because of the higher engine speeds, so if you drive hard, it's recommended to use the larger capacity filter so that you have cleaner oil flowing through the engine, which will give you less engine wear.
  20. It should be 55 litres, The fuel warning light usually comes on with 10 litres left in the tank.
  21. All manufacturer's quote the power the engine develops at the flywheel. The power figure quoted above are what the cars are producing at the wheels ( Obtained by putting the car on a dyno ). For Example Gen 3 HSV 250kw at flywheel - 198kw at wheels 2ZZ-GE Corolla 141kw at flywheel - Approx 105kw at wheels 1ZZ-FE Corolla 100kw at flywheel - Approx 80kw at wheels
