  1. Any Idea where this will be released? Will it be reaching any big screens or just got straight to VHS / DVD ?
  2. Mine occurs occassionally just as the engine is reaching normal operating temp and is coming off fast idle. The revs will fluctuate between 500 rpm and 750 rpm This will last between 30 sec and 1 min and then will settle to normal idle at an even 750 rpm. I always allow my engine to warm up before taking off. I never drive hard whilst the engine is cold.
  3. Most probably, he's a lift-aholic and is around Balwyn :)
  4. I wouldn't advise using 1st or 2nd on the Auto. Like Shao said, just put your foot down and the auto will kick down to the appropriate gear itself. When overtaking on the highways and you need rapid acceleration, you can shift down from 4th (Overdrive) by pressing the button on the shifter. Cold Air Intakes are legal in Victoria - However: You can't have an exposed oiled filter element in the engine bay. If your filter is in the Engine bay - It must be somehow fully enclosed from the engine. Otherwise if the filter is actually outside the engine bay ( like the set up for the TRD / AEM CAI's ) and behind the bumper - There's no need for it to be covered.
  5. Sport1vo - Which Dyno was this at ? I'm wanting to get one done just to know what I've got.
  6. This is coming up too many times to be a coincidence. Perhaps there's a minor glitch with the ECU mapping that causes this ? or most probably a vacuum / intake leak ? Either way, it's something that should be addressed by Toyota if it is a common problem. Can all 1zz's who've experienced this please put your hand up. It's not a potentially damaging problem like the Sportivo Clutch issue, but it still shouldn't be there.
  7. My car's always done this, revs will fluctuate for a minute or so between 500 and 750 rpm - been checked a few times - no vacuum leaks. It seems to do it after it's warmed up and comes off fast idle.
  8. You're hitting the pubs in the UK! 3 door Civic Type R mmm - Love it - The roofline is so different to the crappy 5 door we get here.
  9. Your question was answered, firstly Blue Stivo posted the link to the other topic and secondly I also replied directly to your question. Nobody was having a go at you, but understand that, especially lately, every topic seems to get posted at least 5 times. We're saying ask away all you like - we're happy to help, but please search first, especially for common questions regarding wheels, suspension, exhausts, airfilters, gearing etcetera. Don't take it the wrong way - just be sarcastic back
  10. True, My Nephew and I have an inside joke that I blew away a Skyline at the lights .... It was a clapped out R31 ... But I still beat a Skyline! :P
  11. Still a good time all things considered - Track Temp must have been high and so too was engine temp if you had the aircon running prior to the run.
  12. shaohaok ! Steve please make the search button look like that !
  13. Completely Normal At 100km/h the manual should be at around 3,000rpm in 5th. I have ROH 17x7 on 205/45 Tyres and I sit at exactly 3,000rpm in fifth. It sounds like it's revving high but you get used to it quickly.
  14. Maybe Craig and Dave should ship their cars to Europe and do some testing - All in the name of science of course
  15. Does that mean Craig is the offical forum B/S artist :P Well done Craig you mother must be proud
  16. You should see further improvement in times once you get your suspension sorted Craig ;)
  17. Here I am! :) Yeah, our cars are geared short 3,000 rpm for cruising in 5th at 100km/h is the norm for a manual 1zz-fe. You'll find the car goes nicely in everyday driving if you shift up at around 3,000 - 3,500rpm. Kcorro and I did a quick test a while ago, You can get to about 55km/h in first and about 90km/h in second :P Also for downshifts in everyday driving, the sweetest speeds are: 90km/h 5th - 4th 70km/h 4th - 3rd 50km/h 3rd - 2nd Remember to bleep the throttle for smoothness :)
  18. You can also do the reverse, hold the handbrake, select 1st gear, start pulling the clutch out and the rear end will dip.
  19. Powerchip is simply designed to be a plug and play unit. It can't be tuned specifically to your needs/wants.
  20. CAP

    Cool FJ40

Amongst other things, this thing had either a 308, 350 V8 conversion (sounded like a 308), Full Muds and what looked like a custom rear suspension set up. Maybe that club on the front windscreen has a Website.
  21. Had a look at mine - It's definetely Toyota branded.
  22. Yeah, and you feel the rear of the car drop down a little and then raise again when you release the Hand Brake.
