  1. Ahh, so the whole unit should now be bolt on and play. Interesting, I think I might have to start saving...
  2. A few members have also tried SLICK50 (Good product IMO) in their gearbox which seems to have smoothened the shift quality. I'm waiting next service to try this in my 5spd.
  3. Was that also screaminrolla (Dave) in the Boostcruisin thread ?
  4. Nino, Those pics of the TRD supercharger you have for the 1zz-fe, is that the whole kit as you got it? I wasn't aware that it came with an ECU, I thought you had to buy a piggyback seperate and get it all tuned. Also...what's the fifth injector ? Grimlock, Does the TRD supercharger have a clutch that disables the supercharger when you run on small throttle openings?
  5. That's 3 words Azza ! ... but your 1 word definition was correct :D
  6. No the 2zz-ge engine bay doesn't have more room, it just doesn't have the resonator attached to the air intake like the 1zz-fe. The resonator isn't in the engine bay, it's actually just outside behind the bottom of the passenger side headlight. If you look at your air intake, you'll notice at the section where the pipe becomes narrower before entering the box, it also branches down to the white plastic resonator/water bottle. Having this there doesn't allow enough room for the pod which is positioned just below the headlight with a CAI. Cheers
  7. Yes it fits both 1zz-fe and 2zz-ge. Only if you're putting one on a 1zz-fe, you must also remove the resonator/water bottle the sits underneath the airbox to make room for the pod.
  8. I think Danthuyer and Danz both have one.
  9. <_< In two minds about going this year ... undecided yet, always seems to be the same cars.
  10. Reformed ? TRD_141 ? Lift in moderation... Don't lie I've seen you hit the lift in large doses :D
  11. Possibly because the Blitz unit does come with its own heat shield leaving only the mouth of the pod exposed, If you could run a nice big 5 or 6 inch pipe directly into the mouth from underneath the headlight that would work quite well. Sound nice too !
  12. :D I noticed but don't really care because I don't sit in the back..... when driving anyway
  13. Another interesting one I'm trying to get more info on is the BMC Dinamic Intake System ( BMC Airfilters ). I looked into their Carbon Dynamic Airbox some time ago, but although great, wasn't of any value because being made of Carbon Fibre it's price was in the $800 ball park. Their New Dinamic Intake System however looks to be a plastic copy of the carbon unit. Basically how this works is it replaces your airbox and then has a nice big pipe leading out behind your bumper. The Air deflector within the box then increases the air velocity travelling through the pod filter within the box. If it's priced right, it should represent good value, I'll keep you all posted.
  14. That's bad luck ! Find a new car park !
  15. Welcome, Enjoy the New Car. At the Top, Xoom has created a listing that shows where every member is from, It's sorted by state so you should be able to find all the Melbourne Members there. Also, a list of issues have been pinned to the top that you can read through, otherwise just have a read through the previous threads - It's all there. By the way good to see you picked the best colour, Another Member of TEAM SILVER !
  16. With Airfilters you can go for the Blitz sonic ram intake - but that would just be sucking in hot air from under the bonnet. A better option is to use a cold air intake - Do a search on " CAI ", you'll see a number of different options but most have gone for the TRD item. A cheap alternative is to use a replacement drop in filter. Not quite as effective as a CAI but still makes a difference - Usually about $150 for a K&N or similar. IMO I wouldn't get the cannon muffler. Wait and spend a little more for something better that will give you better results. The canon will drone, upset your neighbours and most probably result in power loss due to insufficient back pressure.
  17. Kings would look better too with their 35-50mm drop depending whether you get low or super lows
  18. I called the state distributor and they pointed me to the most convenient outlet for installation. I don't know who it would be for QLD but I can give you the details for the VIC one and maybe they can point you in the right direction.
  19. Yeah don't give him a Camera, that's already bad enough from what I've read in the 3 word story :P
  20. No problem fitting it's a factory option for all Corolla Models (Sportivo Included). Ride height is reduced by 25mm. Look at the side on photo on the second page in my Gallery below to give you an idea of how much it lowers the car and how it would look. Cheers
  21. Grimlock has a 1zz-fe sedan. By the look of the picture above, if you get your hands on the Lotus set up Pecker, the only thing that you'll have to get customised is the placement and ducting for an intercooler (Nice and low In front of your radiator so it picks up the air entering the lower grill) and the CAI pick up point. Once your standard intake manifold is removed, the supercharger should bolt right into place.
  22. About freakin time! :P It should have been the first thing you did. You'll find it should help a little with your strip time too.
