  1. Did you have to take your intake pipe off to do this or did you just work around it ?
  2. The US shape before their current one had the 1ZZ engine with an Aluminium intake plenum and a Square shaped throttle body to go with it. I dont think it was as efficient though and that's why it was changed. Here's a pic.
  3. Welcome Stephy! Enjoy your stay! Twincam.GTi - here is Aus we had the CS and CSi powered by the 4AFE and the SX later renamed as the GTI powered by the 4AGE.

  5. Yeah, it's a bit of a puzzle why they'd realease the new Sirion - which looks good, and then pull out immediately after...

    Cool FJ40

Couldn't help take a picture of this one on a recent cruise.
  10. I have been in a 12sec car, never owned one. When a car that quick accelerates, you feel all your insides being pushed back ! To take a Corolla into the sub 13 bracket, I think you'd need ... - Mild Weight Reduction - Light weight wheels ( No bigger than 16" ) - A well sorted suspension to reduce weight transfer to the rear and front end lift - LSD - ALOT of engine work !
  11. I've got a pic of a FJ40 that's been chopped, lifted and on full mud's, I'll try to post it in the 4x4 section tonight.
  12. You're best exploring external engine mods before actually playing with internals. I'd start with the basics: -CAI -Extractors/Headers -Exhaust -ECU -etc Before doing things like piston rings and different cams.
  13. Welcome ! There's a couple of members with 4AGE and 4AGZE power here, however you'll find most members here have the newer ZZ powered cars. Enjoy your stay
  14. :o Wait for it !, this ones even better than the KE35 ! Check it out at MB Spy
  15. That just can't be right ! :o Call in to Toyota as soon as you can.
  16. 1zz-fe VVTi - Engine has variable valve timing, allowing the engine to alter the timing of the valves operating across the rev range. 2zz-ge VVTLi - Engine has variable valve timing and lift, as well as varying the timing of the valves across the rev range, this engine can also alter the lift and duration of opening of the valves at high revs.
  17. Warm up the badge with a hairdryer to soften the glue. Use dental floss to saw through the glue behind the badge. Remove any remaining large bits of glue with your fingernails Buff with polish/wax to clean any remaining remnants of glue This is the end result...
  18. Nice work fellas :) Maybe we should start up a thread of everyone's most artistic photo's
  19. Ah, never heard of this problem before sorry.
  20. Most likely it would be the seal on the drivers side door. If the seal is broken or worn near the top edge, the water can trickle down to the bottom of the door without you noticing and actually well up on the inner side of the door sill, when that overflows it trickles into the footwell. When it rains, if alot of water falls to the ground when you open the door, this is your problem. Door seal is quite cheap and easy to replace.
