  1. Skitzo had his wingtips fibreglassed on like that rather than screwed in as per normal, looks so much better.
  2. There are quite a few good bang for buck tyres around. If you spend around 220 per corner, you should be getting a good set of tyres. Stick to the main brands, avoid budget ones such as Nexen, Nankang, Silverstone etc. Run-Flats have their advantage but because of the thick sidewalls, they are not a confortable tyre and expensive. Philips Crystal and Diamond are not ADR compliant and give crap visibility so avoid those. If you want to lower the car just for looks, you can just have the springs changed. If you want improved handling you need to do a little more such as shockers plus springs plus sway bars.

    The stig

Some say that he urinates high octane unleaded. All we know is, he is known as the Stig
  4. I'm certain that if you keep the old wheels you will be able to sell them, either here on the forum or other means such as ebay, trading post, etc
  5. I've always tested cold and hot with my calibrated guage and the highest I've had is 41 psi on a very hot day after a very long hard drive, from 38 psi. My tyres maximum recommended pressure is 44psi so I'm well within tolerances and not overinflating. I can show you a pic of my tyres that have now done 53,000km's and you will see the wear is completely even from one side to the other. If you want a soft, smooth ride, you don't get low profile tyres.
  6. If you want those tyres to last leave them at 38 psi, the car will also handle better. 32-34 psi IMO is too low for a 45 or 40 profile tyre.
  7. If it says it's for the runx or Australian corolla it should be ok, but if it says it's for a matrix thats a different car and the us corolla has a different front and rear to ours
  8. Impressive work. Are you getting some sort of rear skirt too?
  9. I think it's also because the adr applies to certain rpm, so in the case of a hog, they tend to be their ear bleeding loudest when under load at their peak rpms. So perhaps they are tested below those rpms in a drive by situation
  10. I don't see the point in lowering a Hilux. A body lift is what you want :D
  11. Its performance credentials might be ok but I think it's very underdone in the looks department. When I think TRD hilux, I imagine something like the ones used by top gear to reach the North Pole. Big Wide Guard extentions and very big wheels and tyres. Despite the engine, I would rather get a lower spec Hilux and add a nice set of wheels than get this. Slippy, Corolla is the top selling model in Australia, but Hilux is the top selling model in QLD which is why they did the TRD Hilux launch at the Brisbane show.
  12. Nice wheels :D All it needs is a little lowering to set it off.
  13. Ha ha I used to do this in my Commodore Auto everytime I reached for a tissue It wont cause any problems. What does damage your transmission is when you are stationary, dial up high revs in neutral and then slam it into drive.
  14. I'm concerned that you were actually reading something regarding the Spice girls It was on my msn login. I'm safe. Not ghey not ghey not ghey. Was 'not' looking for Spice Girls news. Not ghey. Not that there is anything wrong with it

  16. That seems like an abnormally long wait. Ultima not being the most popular selling model would have the least amount of stock available in the country but not built until April? Sounds a bit far fetched. But Damn! 21% off is fantastic you lucky dog! :D
  17. When the 380 was designed and the decision was made to retain the Australian plant, Sales targets for the car were 30,000 per annum but it hasn't achieved half of that despite prices being cut, so they were operating at a loss

  19. All it means is Mitsubishi will not produce the 380 or an equivalent future variant of it here anymore. It doesn't affect dealerships/parts etc
  20. Such a pity really. The 380 is a good car that's just never been loved
  21. Nice. I would suggest 18's. But personally, I would lower it a little first. You'll find the lower ride height may make the stockies look big enough when they are tucked further up into the guards :D
  22. I think the smallest wheel size the 80 or 100 series have is a 16 x 8" So not quite sure if they would fit in a 15"
