  1. Wow that was a very long post. Welcome. :D Changing the gearbox oil was a good idea, but you just need to get used to the notchiness, it's just how the gearbox is, especially when the syncros start to wear over time. When it comes to suspension just buy in accordance to how well you NEED the car to handle. ie - are you just going to be driving on the streets? do you like to venture out onto the odd mountain run? will you be visiting the track from time to time?
  2. Brilliant effort Neil, pitty about the brake failure, do let us know what your investigation into it digs up, what sort of disc where you using?

    Tyre Tread

The fronts will always wear faster (especially along the outside) so you have two choices. I prefer the later. 1. Don't rotate the tyres, allow the fronts to wear out first, when they wear out, replace the fronts only and continue with the original rears until they wear out too. 2. Rotate the tyres front to back every 10,000km's also have them re-balanced every rotation, then all four tyres will be wearing at the same rate and would be replaced at the same time.
  4. Look, I accepted my car with such a scratch on the drivers door on the promise it would be fixed and not noticeable. Now have a look a my drivers door and look at the colour mismatch. Don't accept the car.
  5. Jules is officially the forum mad dog! I love your work!
  6. Welcome, You may find them on e-bay.
  7. And of course always make sure the car is completely stationary.
  8. I'm a fan of the rusty spoon solution
  9. Yes that was me, you were waiting at the lights right?
  10. Good to see you haven't lost the famous sense of humour :D
  11. That looks freakin nuts! very nice car
  12. You can also use Philips Blue Vision parker bulbs for about $10 a pair and they give a nice white light. I've had mine for 5 years now, still good.
  13. :D I like that one, I'm a mac user but I think the macbook air is just a POS as so too do other mac users. If I was only interested in compact size rather than computing power and versatility, I'd rather buy an Asus Eee Pc rather than a macbook air for a quarter of the price
  14. I agree it's quite typical when Holden started using the American V8's, they really don't drive the way you would expect such as large v8 to do so, they feel quite lame in everyday driving. A TRD Aurion feels much more punchy in everyday driving. I can imagine a base Omega would feel like shiete being a crappy v6 and 4 speed auto. I have a friend who was a Toyota Engineer and now is at Holden, and he tells me of his and others dissappointment of the higher up management not being willing to bring in the better more efficient engine's that GM has in other parts of the world and instead continue to use yestertech big v8's and a V6 engine that looks ok on paper, but in reality is harsh and unrefined. Kudos for Toyota for having such a terrific engine.
  15. Did they Change the rebate for those who take it up and keep it before hitting 30?
  16. They're all leased, chp etc so the slightly higher repayments get written off on tax, same difference. So if interested please call me for a quote for all your equipment finance needs :P
  17. I've driven a new VE Clubsport. Surprisingly refined, smooth and quiet. I do recommend you drive one before passing judgement. I do like the look of the Ford Falcon G6E Turbo. Luxury and 13 second qtr mile performance for that price! Personally I think the locally built cars Toyota, Holden and Ford inclusive have much to offer over imports and hopefully they won't all go down the same path as Mitsubishi Aus.
  18. They are out to gain more market share. GT California 430 599 Scaliatelli They now have a range that goes car for car with the likes for Porsche, Aston Martin etc etc. But they haven't lost the plot until they start building 4x4's
  19. Like Micky said, if you need something pinned or stickied, just pm us, Sorry but I can't ready every single post made. Cheers
  20. I think what will stop alot of people abusing it is the fact they have to leave their details and be prepared to substantiate their complaint at a later time.
  21. Thats the part number for the Sportivo option spring from Toyota. From memory it lowers by something in the 20mm range. Yep that's right
  22. Nice work fellas, I didn't realise the work was so extensive even going to a six speed! Well done! :D
  23. Your model looks quite good in Toyota Simpson Red. I'll need to see If I can find a pic of Tangcla's Corolla
