  1. are you serious? howd you do that, and where abouts did it snap? You did it coming out of your driveway didn't you Pippy? :o
  2. Any good panel shop should be able to do it in no time and also charge you less than purchasing a tip
  3. With all that's said, there's quite a number of members using the Whiteline bar with no problems at all, only there have been some instances of them snapping. So for $120 it's still not such a bad thing. Just be wary and ensure you are given a warranty on that part I think the creaks and groans are from nuts that wernt tightened correctly (possibly under or overtorqued), but i think that can happen with any sway bar. The nuts have to be done up very tight! (About 195nm is the torque setting for them) I got fed up with mine, so I brought it in to toyota and had them undo them and then do it up with the rattle gun, No more squeeks ;) It's great when you get a good service manager.
  4. Danz, that was from Typhoon who imported it from Japan when they running, so I really couldn't tell you where you'd now be able to pick it up from at that price. Perhaps direct from TRD Japan and have it shipped rather than airfreight to keep the cost down? Shao where did you get yours?
  5. Hell Yes it's worth getting ! I have the TRD 22mm solid bar (Stock is 18mm hollow) $220.00 Cornering is much flatter and turn in is much sharper as a result. Whiteline has one for much less, Try a search on this topic, you'll be able to read up.
  6. I recently had mine done utilising those existing brown/red looms. Can't tell you specifics because I had my trusty Auto Electrician carry out the work, however I can tell you, The Corolla/Allex/Runx factory fog light switch is fitted to the indicator stalk, so if you don't have the fog lights as standard fitment, you need to fit a switch to the dash somewhere. I had mine placed where the coin holder is next to the electric mirror control.
  7. -A day trip to Sorrento (Just Before Portsea) is always good, you can also you can go on the Tug Boat ride from Rye Pier which takes you out to see the Port Phillip Bay Seals, or the Sorrento/Queenscliff ferrie. -If you have little ones a trip to and on Puffing Billy (Belgrave/Dandenongs) is entertaining for all. -We have three Zoo's. Melbourne Zoo just outside the CBD, Healesville Sanctuary, which is Australian Native Animals and Open Range Zoo at Werribbee, see the African Animals out in the open. -And way too many restaurants/cafe's everywhere...
  8. Your car model is a ZZE122, your engine is a 1zz-fe. Cheers
  9. I'd say it's the Aircon Compressor switching on
  10. There's a parts/supplier sticky at the top of the Corolla Forum, For car care look at Inside & Out, etc it's all there. Whether you buy it from trdsales.com or in Victoria or from MrRevhead in NZ, all the TRD CAI's come from the US and given everyone has a mark up, they will all be priced around the $500 mark. AEM will again be from the US but a little cheaper, same with Injen. If you want cheaper, check E-bay. If members haven't purchased from trdsales.com or others, they've found theirs new or second hand on e-bay. But unless they're a generic immitation, none are 'Cheap'. I think the lowest someone has paid is around $250 for an Injen, second hand or a New Simota.
  11. Yes, but in the absence of ABS (Obviously 7k brake package on a 20k car is just stupid) Bigger brakes are the next best thing.
  12. ABS is obviously out of the question, why not upgrade your Rotors & Calipers for greater stopping power?
  13. Just nominate a date, Saturdays are usually good for me, although I don't think my car is much different to yours these days :D
  14. Apparently when travelling at it's 400km/h vmax it empties it's entire fuel tank in ten minutes

    Greetings!!

Merry Christmas Everyone & have a sensational New Year Peace.
  16. Exactly why I bought the ozeparts kit $300 for a set.
  17. Nankangs are Shiete, stay with the Falkens.
  18. E-gene I'm shocked! :o :P :D If I'm going to play with a knob it'll be my own. No Chrome Negatron! he he he , But polished alloy is neat! ;)
  19. No Chrome! Needs to be 300g +, standard one does already have a bit of weight in it ( I can't remember how much, a while since I weighed it ), so it has to be heavier but not too much so. I can't remember who but someone here was using the Razo RA25A which is 340g and noted a positive improvement in shifts. But then again over $100 just for a gear knob has made me reluctant to go down this path, better things to spend it on ;)
  20. Doesn't the stock Sportivo rear muffler have an internal flap that increases back-pressure at Low RPM ?
  21. Trust Dr Danz he does his research. I've personally been reluctant to get a short shift for the reason: I'd like to have a shorter throw between shifts BUT I quite like the height of my shifter, I find it falls to my hand perfectly and I don't have 'reach out' for it, it's right there at the right place for my height. To try and compensate and make my shifts a little quicker, I've been investigating on and off heavier gear knobs, the theory is... Heavier knob = More Leverage More Leverage = Easier shift Easier shift = Quicker shift. Anyway, problem is, the heavy ones all look fugly - Look at the Razo ones and you'll see what I mean. The Conrero range is looking promising though. My personal 2c worth.
