could still be 215/40 for me man NO ONE makes 225/40 in australia rofl, dare I say the whole of oceania...or the world? lol 225/45 will be pretty chunky on a 17 :( I'll run some calculations... EDIT: I'm running 205/55 on my stock 16's atm, and the 225/45R17 will be 3mm taller and a 20mm wider also :S I reckon the 205/55 look phat...but 225/45 will be phat as man. Speedo is put a bit too. when you're doing 100km/h it's really doing 102.2km/h. -

Remember our cars are VVTi - intelligent etc... You drive slow, the ecu will 'train' itself that way. When you want to hump it power wise it won't be as responsive. So I guess we have to decide whether we want better fuel economy or response in the end.

You were using that Optimax Extreme crap weren't you? That aint going near my car lol. Optimax isn't even pre-blended in the factory. It's just an additive. Plus extreme has ethanol in it. That crap can stay out of my car.

Not saying anyones wrong here and its definately a case of each and everyone to their own but consider: Single turbo R34 in good condition: 20-25k Throw 8k at it in mods..... let your imagination do the rest. By the same token... MY00, 01, 02 WRX: 15-25k 8k in mods..... Thats not to say that I don't admire what you guys are doing..... please don't make me out to be a kill joy. $15,000 escort. 13 second car? lol :P

That's a lot of money man. I only spent $1350 on the coilovers so far haha. Brian had the D2's and a front strut brace on his car and he was out handling s2000's and WRX's at winton. Down the straight it was a different story of course haha.

Excellent way to start off your first post ;) Yes it is a waste of money. I'd make a bet that if I taped a badger to my car it would give me less resistance and therefore would be more plausable than putting this Hiclone thing on. Go the badger.
