yer it was a few weeks after the big rain i got quite a bit of stone chips from that cruise as well, but that hasn't stopped me from going back hehe... i went about 5 times over the summer! love it every time
perhaps we could have a consolidated sticky.... include links to the best threads that discuss best fuel best oil, largest rims for corolla, tyre size, audio, etc. etc.
firstly, congrats on the new buy! :) i just wanted to say, please don't ever consider having NO CAT. Please think of our environment! Oh, and not to mention that $10k on-the-spot fine!
i just pulled off 480km on ~50L, short travels for two weeks, lots of speed bumps! so that's 10.5L / 100km lol! my best is 600km on ~50L, shell optimax, highway travel mostly (to and fro melb/geelong) that's 8.3L / 100km
if you want custom tweeter mounts, or kick panels, i can refer you to my fibreglass person. He's quite familiar with (my) corolla and knows exactly where to mount tweeters, whether on the floor on on the doors btw why floor? in the car, tweeters sound the best as far as possible from your ears (remember, it must be direct line of sight) just PM me for details
yeah that's right, check the manual to find the maximum distance the tweeter can be away from the main driver. Too much separation will cause too much sound separation. tweeters should also be "line of sight" to your corresponding ear, as well as your passenger's (if you want them to experience it as well hehe :P)
mine gets cleaned once every 3 months shows the love hey :P i have a black corolla btw, it's black atm cos I washed it about 6 weeks ago :P will be brown shortly
hi, i just want to add that I have this problem as well. It feels as if the car is struggly and is about to die/stall when it happens, i just rev the car to 2000rpm or so. i dont know what else to do with it lol
it's okay mate, drag racing is not easy, esp if you're not prepared, and your car is not prepared! just keep practicing, and another tip is... if you're not comfortable with anything (ie hearing a funny sound, or something not feeling right), stop.
