  1. I used a bit of black gaff tape to cover where i wore through on the plastic. Looks neat now and stops water/other crap getting in through the hole. Not sure about the metal fitting but I'd assume you're correct with it being a bumper fixture. BTW how hard did you set those BCs? Guessing max if you're still running that ride height from the pic above! :)
  2. Do you have a larger pic of them ^^^?
  3. Yeah the dash and interior is really nice on the new model but the outside..... not so much.
  4. Which way Jeff, GOR or another direction? I'll have to check in any case but always keeeeeeen!
  5. Once the wings are on your next mod will have to be one of these: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Back-to-the-Future-Flux-Capacitor-Replica-Unlimited-Edition-Diamond-Select-NE-/130997496034?pt=AU_Toys_Hobbies_Pretend_Play&hash=item1e800f28e2 Then you'll have the only flying AND time-travelling box in Cairns! If you have the built-in sub on your left side in the boot you could install it on the opposite side and fit out the boot nicely!
  6. Awesome day out! Thanks everyone who came for the twisty fun in the brilliant sun! :) Cheers Macguyver for organising the route!
  7. Ok so still leaving that tennis club on Springy Rd at 10:30am yeah? What time do we wanna meet up there? 9:30/10am?
  8. Cheers, was a great stopover point for us on our way across Vic lol. And great food too! Damn I'm hungry now thinking about it...
  9. I know this is still a month away, but any more thoughts on 22nd Vs 29th? I'm in for either day as long as Collingwood don't do anything stupid like get into the grand final...
  10. RACV do stuff like that. My brother had the alternator replaced in his falcon by them not too long ago, give 'em a call I guess? Decent price for the alternator and the install too.
  11. So ahhh, that link didn't work at all for me Maca....
  12. Shoulda posted that in here: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/forum/49-wtb-want-to-buy-section/ But I have a sportivo front grill if you want that too?
  13. That VSC warning is a generic one that can mean a whole range of issues. It just gets you to come in and get Toyota to sort out what the real problem is. My last time was due to faulty wiring for one of the fog lights. Seems a bit drastic for the car to switch off stability control with that message, but it gets you back to Toyota quick smart I suppose...
  14. i have heard that you would need to get your shockies revalved to handle stiffer spring, not sure if this is correct but it is something to keep in mind :/ OP is talking about coilovers, so no need (most have damper adjustment these days) so get stiffer springs and set dampness to soft??Essentially yes, currently I have 3KG rears and set on max stiffness which still isn't enough. So maybe with 6/8KG or thereabouts i'll be able do dial it down a little while still being able to increase at will if required. I've got 19x8.5 front and rear. Can't remember exactly how many clicks I have the dampers set to. Never had a problem with a carload of people. That's with a pretty heavy sub box in the back too. When I was getting the coils ordered in I was told 5 kg would be fine. Thanks Nathan, I've got 9.5 rears so 3KG just doesn't cut it. Work on the guards has helped a great deal but still cant have 2 adults in the back. Looks like I'll go for 8KG and dial down the dampers so at least I have room to move.
  15. Hey Nathan, I see you have 5kg at the back. What wheel size and width are you on? And what are the coils set to? Im getting stiffer springs for my coils, just trying to work out 4.5kg/6kg or more... Do you have any issues with a carload of people as it sits?
  16. Cheers Anthony, tried them already. They won't ship to AUS or answer questions on spring rates as there are Australian distributors for BC. Not very helpful, wouldn't even tell me who the other Aus distributors were... On a more positive note, JustJap got back to me with this: Hi mate We can order you whatever spring rate your after they $77 per spring. Now Im assuming that's 4 x $77 and he wasn't referring to $77 a set but at least I've got an answer! So $308 for stiffer springs, think I can live with that. Seems an ok price to me.
