brendan - we were refering to his 205/40r17s not 215, 205/40r17 usually come with an 83 load rating, which is certainly not the recommended 87 <_< . Your 215s should be out by about 0.7% by memory and have an extra 8mm rolling diameter on the 205s. These are a good along with 205/45r17... 215/45r17 will be just over the rolling diameter by 0.7% so you may just get away with it. They are pretty common tyres too and can be found pretty inexpensive with the correct load rating, but may scrub in some cases.
