  1. i got a measly $19,000 for my levin with 25,000km and in VERY GOOD condition.
  2. i used to own a 2002 levin (the same shape as the current sportivo) i loved it, no hassles, nothing. responds well to full exhaust and intake. the levin still has some go 0-100 isn't as quick as a sportivo..but isn't as slow as normal n/a 4cyls. the stivo is definately quicker and more fun to have..but...problems... i traded my levin in for a sportivo. if i had only bought my levin in black, i would have kept it. i bought the stivo because i could get it in black AND it was quicker. i got totally ripped off when i bought my levin from Lander Toyota. I actually PAID MORE for the levin than the sportivo from Castle Hill Toyota (yeah!)
  3. took the stivo into castle hill toyota today. at first, they said my car was perfectly fine. *cough* so i told them to take it for another drive, with ME as the passenger. Sure enough, it was crunching and grinding. The technician said he's going to "order 2nd and 3rd gear" for me... i was like..... ....can't i just have a whole new gear box? <_< Oh wells...better than nothing.
  4. sorry about the late reply, digi cam dead, no charger and no usb cable to charge either, Craig, u want me to just MMS it to you? Chris
  5. i'll provid pics soon, leaving fow Nowra for a few days. back next week. influx would most likely be able to give you pics. Basically, if you don't take the side mouldings off properly the FIRST time, you'll be HATING it for the FEW hours it takes to remove the glue. They can be removed with consistent and correctly angled pulls at the side mouldings. When removing it, make sure you take both the FOAM and GLUE at the same time. but, most of the time, the FOAM seperates from the GLUE and the glue stays on the car. Which takes a while (few hours) to be sitting there and removing it. It's hard to explain, umm..it'll be useful to have like a rubber spatula or something thing and long to help the glue seperate from the body (nothing metalic or sharp, coz you may scratch your paint). Same thing applies with removing the corolla, toyota, and sportivo badges. makes the car look SLICKER! more 'classy' i guess. :D Chris
  6. i'd love to, unfortunately, my car will be in the Autosalon, and can't take them out until after the show. maybe next time influx & myself will be at autosalon this year =)
  7. Whilst i was installing my oil temp guage in my drive way, a lady from like 2-3 streets away pulled over and approached me. She politely introduced herself and said that i should take "extra precautions" with my stivo. :( Because last Tuesday her black stivo was stolen right infront of her shop (like less than 1 metre from the door). Rego: JKM 050 I think the word is out. Sportivo's are in! :o Just giving all you stivo owners a heads up. :( Take care of them babies... Chris
  8. ***taken from the TGS Forum*** "OPERATION RESTORE HOPE" TEAMGODSPEED FUNDRAISING CRUISE Members and friends, TGS has decided to raise funds for the Restore Hope Foundation, please read bellow a brief summary about the foundation: Operation Restore Hope is Dr. Hodgkinson's international charity mission, a private surgical foundation that provides plastic and other speciality surgical services to less privileged persons, especially children in developing countries. Its purpose is to correct deformity and facial disfigurement in the poor, who without the donation of services would remain untreated and permanently disadvantaged. In giving back both function and sightliness to a person we can help restore hope to people who already face so much adversity in their daily existence. The doctors of the clinic volunteer their time to travel to developing nations to treat underprivileged children who have birth defects, especially cleft lips and palates, as well as scarring. Of course, because of the number of people we find in need we are not always limited to children or persons with such specific ailments. All doctors provide their services free of charge as well as paying for their own airfare and accommodation. We have also had surgeons from the United States, Malaysia and Germany participate. Operation Restore Hope is now well established in Cebu, the second largest city in the Philippines. Dr. Hodgkinson has formerly operated in other areas of the Philippines, India, Nepal, Guatemala and Mexico. Fundraising is becoming an increasingly important part of Operation Restore Hope, as the mission requires that Dr. Hodgkinson and his team take every suture, medication, glove, piece of equipment etc. with them to the Philippines. We welcome your inquiries and suggestions as well as any donations of supplies, equipment, services or funds. The Cruise On Saturday, 20 November 2004 TGS will be voyaging on a fund raising cruise to Narrabean Beach. We will all meet in front of Krispy Kreme (Eastern Creek), 4 Healey Circuit Huntingwood @ 9.30am and we will shortly cruise to Narrabean. It is expected that every car that participates in the cruise will donate $10 (per car) to the foundation. Prior to leaving Krispy Kreme we will collect such funs from everyone. We will be selling sausage sizzle @ Narrabean beach and again all procceds will go to the foundation. Prior to the Cruise We (all TGS members) will also be collecting donations from our friends, parents, relatives, classmates, workmates and anyone else weeks prior to the cruise. Last Friday night fund raising donation forms were handed out to members who hanged out at HQ. ALL MEMBERS ARE TO COME AROUND (preferrably this Friday at the TGS SBS) to come and get the forms so that they can start collecting funds. I will also be distributing the promotional flyers for the cruise. The incentive for everyone is, WHOEVER collects the most funds will win an X-BOX. Yes thats right, so if you want to win an X-BOX all you have to do is bug your mom, dad, brother, sister, cousin, friend, teacher etc.... for donation and collect as much as you can. I hope all TGS members will participate on this activity as it is an activity for a cause. So start collecting monoey and start inviting ppl to the cruise, we will invite our close friends TEAMGROUNDZERO and the CIRCUIT CLUB to the cruise. Anyone or any team who wants to come is invited to this cruise, as long as they donate. We will be handing the money we raised on the night of our anniversary at the Marriot Hotel. For any further questions, please contact me. Godspeed - let us make a difference towards a child life
  9. Hey Ken, It's Chris. Yeah man! i'm definately going! and most of TGS are going to. We've also invited TGZ and Circuit-Club on the cruise too! It's gonna be huge!!! From what we've been told, it's gonna be 50+ cars. (YIKES!!!) You coming??!?!?!?
  10. hey forolla. i used to have a 1zz levin. i experiemented with exhaust. and found that with extractors, high flow cat, 2" 2 1/4" exhuast mandrel high flow resonator and rear muffler (this is a full lukey set up, except the extractors are hurricane). you will definately gain power. check out the gallery, i think i've posted up the dyno graph. this whole system would be around $1200, fitted. If you want it, pls PM me. Chris
  11. You can tell from the sound that its only going to 6,000 rpm, remember the ECU will not let you hit lift in neutral, you have to have a gear engaged and your clutch up. Still a cool little toy though :) ← are you sure about that? :( because i've had my car in neutral, with me standing outside and my left foot on the accelerator and making it bounce off the rev limiter. no gears engaged, no clutch touched. just plain revving.. :( is that suppose to happen?
  12. i've got low king springs with 215/45/r17. My fronts scrub during bumps and moderate dips in the road, as well as hard cornering. Try to avoid having a full load in the back as well as cargo/baggage. with 17x7's (depending on offset) will be cut by the inner guards, i can provide pics if you want . (for both front and back tyre scrubbing/cutting)/ with 205/40/r17, you shouldn't have any problems at all...but the difference in rolling diameter is greater than 215/45/r17.
  13. damn! nice shoa! what circuitry did you use? where'd u buy that kit from? how long did it take? how much? (sorry, ehhehe.i loev quetsions) (typoes..typig to fast!)
  14. i thought we weren't suppose to disturb trev, coz he's realy busy? maybe someone already asked and knows the answer.. that's why i'm asking here.
  15. WHOLE CAR CHROME!!! damn...imagine cleaning it though. :o
  16. looking at the pics..the exhaust is a 2.5" mandrel. that's freaking HUGE for a 1.8L N/A. but then again...CES must have found something that proves the 2.5" not too big to actually work... i honestly thought that 2"-2 1/4" was big enough for 1.8L's...but..maybe something is different with our engines... Silva: can you provide any specs of the resonator and muffler? (length, width, etc)
  17. Mandrel vs Press bends... does anyone have factual/evidence which one is better? Like, we're not a turbo or anything, so...why not use press? it's cheaper. (just a thought)... Chris
  18. Welcome JDM RunX! how did you find us exactly? So, in Jamaica, the Runx is considered an import?
  19. the TRD supercharger kit somes with a CAI pipe that uses the stock airbox, you just remove the stock piping intake...it goes where the TRD CAI goes too.
  20. Rang Castle Hill Toyota (where i bought my car) and they said i have to take it in and they'll look at to why i'm having problems during gear changes. my car now crunches or doesn't go in for 2ND, 3RD & 4TH Gear... getting really really bad... any hints or tips to what to say, so that they'll replace my gearbox/clutch?
