  7. Nuff said. Don't know about CES fitter but certainly has some sort of resemblance of Sportivo Rice after a hard night on the turps (just needs slightly more red cheeks :P ) Lmao just taking the **** silva hahaha, nice to see people still have a sense of humour in here. On a serious note i'll keep this thread going a tad and maybe morph it a bit. A mate who own's a yellow S15 Jap Spec Silvia had a CES exhaust system (+headers I think?) fitted to it. I think that my be a better example that CES 'do' know what they're doing as he'd had some insane increase like 40kw or something! I think the main problem is people really don't want to spend big bucks on minimal gains on a car that is a nippy little street car. Eg: $5000 poured into my mates S15 for engine mods turned it into an instant 12 second car! And now he's cracking 11's with a computer upgrade. $5000 into our cars gets about a 30kw increase adding it up. Want power? Go turbo or S/C really (or convert and get big a55 cubes behind you heh). I've said it before and I'll say it again though, 'everyone is different' Silva...you and I contrast against each other as an example because we see different things in our cars. You wanted more power out of the motor, whereas I'm already happy with the power and want to trick up the handling. I think that is the beauty of modding cars, as there is always an uneven cascaded pattern of tastes that people can observe. Being unique. Yes I wanted more power but in the last week or so have just finished the handling side of things also with a little more stopping power. ;) A few more cosmetic things to go and that will be all I will do to this car as I have 2 other projects which are in dire need of my attention which will definately turn heads in a big way B)
  8. Tomorrow is the day so get your car clean and shiny and be ready for a great day of driving. Looking forward to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Friction point moves when the clutch starts to get some wear. Have you had the clutch adjustment done by Toyota?? Because it's outside the tolerances stated by toyota which causes shifting issues by not allwoing the clutch to engage/disengage properly. Mine started off about normal then ended up nearly taking up on the floor. Got the adjustment done and all is good!! I fixed the squeak myself as it's the pivot points on the clutch fork that operates the throw out bearing. remove the rubber dust seal from around the arm that goes into the bell housing and then with CRC with a long straw nozzle thingy get a mirror and torch in place to see it and then spray the pivot points you can see and squeak will disappear(well mine did any way!!)
  10. but where are you from??(which state??)

  12. Red light is oil pressure and orange is oil level from memory??? (anybody care to agree??) If your car needed 2.5 litres of oil then how long since your last service?? High revving N/A engines will consume oil due to the high rpm and the crank case pressure created from those revs. S2000 owners have to have an oil change at very short intervals(like 2500km or something like that) otherwise they void their warranty due to the engine using a little bit of oil. It doesn't burn it but merely blows it out the breather under high crankcase pressures. I'd imagine the Stivo is the same in that respect with high rpm and high compression ratios as well.
  13. Tough luck mate hope you enjoy the pics from sunday and all the fun we'll have!!! At least the weather is looking good with the forecast being for fine and cool conditions :D

  16. Spray the bolt then the easiest way to get it off is use a very long extension(like about 2-3 foot) and then put the rachet on and away you go. that's how I've always done as it gives you more room being out of the tunnel but if you don't have the tools then I'm sure the local exhaust bloke will have the kit to get em off :D
